Did your instructor give you approval for this song to be performed in class?

Is the song signed correctly?

Depends on what you mean by correctly.

This is going to sound weird, but I've seen other videos of xcrippledhope and he signs like a deaf person who grew up with signs. Not surprising, it is pretty much what he says he is.

Liken it to a native English speaker talking. We don't say, "How are you doing, my friend," we say, "Howya doin fren?"

Most instructors I've come across want their students to sign crisp and clear with each sign nice and separate so the minute Deaf people see you they know you just got out of a class on ASL.

Lol! You know, this is the exact same problem I had in all the years (6 or 7 of 'em) that I learned French, too! We learned 'proper' french, so when we had a French man come to our class nobody could understand what he was saying. First, there was the accent. We'd all been exposed to accents, but only the Parisian accent. He was southern French and it was a different language! Second, he was not speaking 'proper' french -- dropping words right and left just like we do in English. It's nice to know that I'll stick out like a sore thumb for 'proper' ASL, too! HAHA!
