Sign "Amen" in Different Countries

It's true that the sign AMEN is not just differentiated by nation or language but also by religion. In America, for example, even if all signers were using ASL, not all religions use the same sign to represent the word "amen."

Similar situations are the signs for BAPTIZE, BIBLE, and COMMUNION.

One size (sign) does not fit all.
 
Reba, this is very true. I was raised Pentecostal and learned signs from Baptists, Pentecostals, Non-Denominationals, Catholics, etc. When I became Latter-day Saint, *almost* an entirely different culture. The Church even has it's own sign language handbook. Plan on getting a copy soon.
 
Yep, I've just started attending a Deaf ministry at a local church and they sign Amen like the Canadian way, also the same for a few local Deaf events I've attended (I'm in NJ and this is at Protestant churches)... Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I use Catholic sign Amen in orayer form instead of use sign alike stamp with A on hand alike rest of protestant christians use.
