This thread is only for bathtub, what are you prefer to use with shower curtain or shower door?

Shower curtain is just old fashioned and made with fabric, that use rods and offers different style that meet your taste.

Shower door is just like glass or plastic with metal frame, more limited when come in choice of style.

For me, I prefer shower curtain for all way and very easier to get out or in, also less time to clean and more affordable.

Right now, it's really sucks because I live in aunt's house and got shower door, it's quite unusual and tacky, it does cause alot of noise too because I'm big guy and height is issue too, I don't have any choice to change but it's their house, anyway.

I rather to live in house with maroon/pink carpet over shower door, both of them are weird design.

We have two showers and one bathtub. For both showers we use glass doors, just because we think it’s more beautiful :D We have a large bathtub rounding the corner with whirlpool, no necessary to use curtains there ;)

I have one shower door, one bathtub, wall hung toilet and double bathroom sink in bathroom.

We do not need curtain for bathtub...

We were talking about installing shower door..I told my hubby NO!!! Pain in ass when tub need clean! UGHHH! So I'll stick with shower curtains! Easy to replace with style when you get bored with same one.

I prefer shower curtains. I was hell to work for cleaning shower door at my first house. then moved to new house and use shower curtains. Easy to clean it. if it s worn out and little dirty, i will replace new one. No prolbem. :)

Yup, I have agree with you.

I used to took shower with door before and it's work so hard to clean up, however I'm not in charge to clean the bathtub.

Large bathtub with round is called jacuzzi and it's common in post-80's house in our country and no curtain needed for jacuzzi.

Bathtub is defined as in picture below, usually in America.

It can made with cast iron or fiberglass, fiberglass bathtub is very common in post-80's house.

This thread is only for bathtub, not jacuzzi.

Our tub are cast iron...LOVES IT! We just bought 2 of them...one for downstairs and one for upstairs....however upstairs will not be remodel till we have $$...hopefully this winter it'll be remodel. :) I hate hate hate hate FIBERGLASS! So hard to keep it clean!! ICCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK! I cannot wait to see our upstairs tub toss in the TRASH!!! And we still stick with shower curtains. :) Upstairs is fishes....cute for kid! And downstairs..we haven't order one yet...it'll be King and Queen (from poker). :)

Shower curtains. For reasons already mentioned. Easy to replace and the doors build up lime and are hard to clean. I would never have shower doors again.

I agreed! I hate fiberglass because they break so easy. I admit I was fall down and my knee hit tube's side and end up it's big hole. My knee got bleed and cut skin off. :mad2:

Fiberglass is same feel as plastic?

If so then ok, I just refer plastic as fiberglass in above of my post, thanks for correction.

Same with refer hard clay as cast iron, I just learn the new word.

I hate the doors... I've had two apartments w/them already installed-- I put a rod up and threw a shower curtain over them to hide them! LOL One was UGLY w/some bird design on them... and the other OLD and very hard to keep clean...

In my house now (that I own) Shower curtian!! The big bathroom is yellow ducks (for Adam) and my bathroom is Palm Trees/browns

I've tripped over the track for the doors in the past getting in/out of a deep tub and nearly fell INTO the tub as well as onto the floor-- HATE the doors! LOL

curtain. I don't like door. In my previous house, I was trying to open the sliding shower door (glass) but it got derailed. I was trying to fix it but the whole glass suddenly broke and my hand & feet got cut. I was bleeding and I stood there for several minutes, yelling out for my parents. Nobody came so I struggled to get out.... yea try doing that with 100000000000000 small pieces of glasses all over... Finally I managed to get out but it was painful. I cleaned myself up cuz I was bloody all over and I didn't want to put stain all over the carpet. I went downstair and it turned out that I was home alone. I phoned my parents and my dad got totally freaked out. He immediately drove home from other home (we were in middle of moving process between those 2 houses) and rushed me to hospital. I ended up with some stitches on my foot and finger... and it took a while for doctor to find any embedded glasses in my feet :mad2: and yes we replaced it with shower curtain

my dad went back home to clean it up before rest of my family came home. it gave my dad a chill because it looks like a horrible murder crime scene... a big pool of blood on bathtub, bloody footprints, glasses and mess all over... :(

I like shower doors. It gives me more of a "privacy" feeling. And remembering the movie "Psycho"....gave me the chills!!
I always keep shower cleaner, such as Tilex handy! Use it every other day, after a bath.
But for the boys bathroom, it's shower curtain! They are too rough on the shower doors. It's a pain in the azz trying to get the door back on track, over and over.
I also "wash" my shower curtains when needed. And when they get wore out or discolored, there are many uses for them.
