I like the door better ...less messy and keep water off the floor also . Plus I like the privacy .

I prefer shower curtains. They are easier to replace than the shower doors.

Oh my god! Best to get shower curtain for safety.

There's 2 type for shower door, glass and hard plastic (fake glass), usually cheap model has hard plastic and hardly to break it but make too much noise if you are big man.

Fiberglass bathtub does make too much noise too, if you stomp it with hand and you can feel it but depends on model.

I'd prefer to have these shower curtains because like many others said, it is replaceable and easier to maintain.

Also, The shower doors requires a lot more to be maintained with the soap scums building on it. It also costs a bit more if it was to be replaced or damaged.

Personally, I could care less if I have a shower door but I just find that shower curtains are a lot more reliable. :)

I have two bathroom, one with curtain and other with glass. Well both are pain in the neck. IMHO>

curtain. I don't like door. In my previous house, I was trying to open the sliding shower door (glass) but it got derailed. I was trying to fix it but the whole glass suddenly broke and my hand & feet got cut. I was bleeding and I stood there for several minutes, yelling out for my parents. Nobody came so I struggled to get out.... yea try doing that with 100000000000000 small pieces of glasses all over... Finally I managed to get out but it was painful. I cleaned myself up cuz I was bloody all over and I didn't want to put stain all over the carpet. I went downstair and it turned out that I was home alone. I phoned my parents and my dad got totally freaked out. He immediately drove home from other home (we were in middle of moving process between those 2 houses) and rushed me to hospital. I ended up with some stitches on my foot and finger... and it took a while for doctor to find any embedded glasses in my feet :mad2: and yes we replaced it with shower curtain

my dad went back home to clean it up before rest of my family came home. it gave my dad a chill because it looks like a horrible murder crime scene... a big pool of blood on bathtub, bloody footprints, glasses and mess all over... :(

Oh my boy, our shower door is glass and better to be careful.

I cannot remove it and replace into curtain because of not my property, however shower door seems expensive model for sure.

Yup, it's big issue and work so hard like hell.

Both bathroom, have garden tub, with no curtains. And a separate shower with the doors.

In our old house we had before this one. We had two standard bath/shower with curtains. I loved it. Because I would easily take them down to wash them in the machine. And replace them with another curtain with different designs. I would replace the liner, So i would not have to deal with washing the plastic.

Large bathtub with round is called jacuzzi and it's common in post-80's house in our country and no curtain needed for jacuzzi.

Bathtub is defined as in picture below, usually in America.

It can made with cast iron or fiberglass, fiberglass bathtub is very common in post-80's house.

This thread is only for bathtub, not jacuzzi.

This is bathtub what I have, not jacuzzi.

I prefer shower curtain because easier to clean and replace if want to change to something different. My place has 2 bathrooms, one has glass sliding shower door and other has a bathtub with shower curtain. I usually go to the bathroom with shower curtain mostly because it's where my stuff are and closer to my bedroom.

I find interesting that most of you are for shower curtain. For me is sucker and too much work... :dunno2:

Shower door is very common here in Germany.

Shower door is much easier to clean than shower curtain... I have shower door spray - I only spray on the door and it clean and dry itself but curtain?

My Dad have shower curtain... it´s definitely sucker... I have to dry the curtain and make sure the water won´t go to floor...

glass doors all the way! they are more classy and they are actually easy to clean...just spray them with cleaner and all's good.

plus, you can see through....:giggle:

Don't forget that you can't change style with glass doors cheaply. Same boring style for years until you decide to remodel the bathroom. :)

well shower curtain is cheap in here. just simply throw them out and buy new one. :cool2: I usually do that once a year.

I really do not need to remodel the bathroom because I love those bathroom... it´s same for over 20 years now... Have you see the picture of my bathroom, I posted toward Foxrac?

The shower door is remain same for over 20 years and love it... Why should I remodel the shower door for?

it does get worn out. that's why we throw it out. it doesn't last long if you clean the curtain with chlorox.
