Yes, ecosystem changes all of the time... on its own and by nature. But we do cause massive changes to the ecosystem by force which is not by nature.

Regulated hunting are allowed, but it shouldn't be used to "balance" the ecosystem.

Brad. you maded a real good point! The GOP are pushing for Letterman to be fired , I wish someone had said what you wrote! I agree with eveyone else , it time to move on!

People can either cause them to go extinct or overpopulate. Animals go extinct because people are hunting them to death. It's a different story when you try to control the population.

By trying to "balance" the ecosystem by eliminating animals will result in a more severe overpopulating scenario. Just look at the deer population. More deers are starving to death than ever.

The wolves will not have babies if there is a shortage of food , they're very
intelligents animails! When they hunt the wolves try to find old and sick animals to kill. It take less work to bring down an old elk that a young healthy
elk and less risk of getting hurt! The wolves know this and this help to thin out the herd of elk . My city has to a deer hunt every year as there are no wolves left to keep the deer from overpopulating!

and you know why there aren't many wolves left in some places? Take a good guess.

It's because of us. Now, we have to deal with the overpopulation of elks and deers.

No, it was in very poor taste and Dave should have known not to "have gone there", but he did. But, as others have said, an apology was given and accepted, so it's time to move on.
 
People should realize that Dave does not write the jokes. He tell the jokes as he read them. Perhaps he did not realize it at the time.

Or David Letterman and his writers review and rehearsal the jokes together first, before the show starts. Is that how the rehearsal works? It's just speculation, but I guess we'll never find out.

That's a good question, keep in mind that this is a daily show that they tape from Monday to Friday in front of a live audience.

He probably come in to review the jokes often, but I don't know if he review every single one or go through a few at a time.

He may not write them but he's still responsible for what comes out of his mouth.

Still, I don't support firing him. I say, just use the TV remote.

Letterman = keep job
Palin = attractive
Palin's daughter = offended
Hunting = not my thing
Wolves = needed to keep things balanced. They were a threatened species not long ago.

Maybe if they just nuke the entire state of Alaska, ridding the state of all those annoying animals of all species, in order to make oil drilling easier; thereby keeping our gasoline prices cheaper, so we can drive great big SUVs to the mall....:roll:

Letterman thought the 18 years old daughter was with Sarah when he maded the joke. Letterman said on TV that he check to see that daughter was not underage , but Letterman did not check to see which daughter Sarah was traving with! That is how the joke back fired!
