I don't know anyone who has short-term memory loss. Hmm... oh, there's this new thread called "Short-Term Memory Loss"! Perhaps, that will give you some insight on that new information! ;)

 VAMPY hahahahahahah

Serious case, My dad had a minor stroke two yrs ago, and he himself has a VERY mild short term memory loss, SO, we tend to have to remind him on certain things he himself writes alot of things such as his medications and etc. SO, he does improve alot in that area, he knows who we are and all he just does have to stand there for a few minutes to make sure he knows and remembers what he needs to do or what he is doing most of the time dad does real well.
We the family usually have to write things down for dad like a list of shopping things to get, or remind him he has a dr appt and he always writes on the calendar which helps in every way! SO im proud of my dad for not letting the short term memory get the best of him AND also am proud of him for forging thru his health problems with every aspect in life!

I had seizures about ten years ago which affected my short-term memory...I couldn't remember ANYTHING......I was like Forgetful Jones on Sesame Street!
Luckily, Dilantin controlled the seizures and I haven't had ANY seizure related activity or short-term memory issues since then! :)

 At least, she is alright. Is she keep write her own journal?

Having short-term memory loss isn't funny - I had to deal with it sometimes. :thumbd:

I don't recall knowing anyone with short-term memory loss, but I think my grandmother has that sometimes, sometimes she doesn't remember what she's done or said in the past.. When I remember something in the past in my memories as a kid, she doesn't remember.. so I had to explain every detail to refresh her memory.. she denies having short-term memory loss.. it's not serious, just very minor. My grandfather and I know she does have it sometimes but if we try to tell her, she gets mad about it and goes "No I do not!" We don't bother her about it again .. sometimes she'll talk to me but in french or italian.. I'm like, grandma.. you're speaking french or italian she's like "huh? no I said... "

Everyone approaching the age of 40 develops short-term memory loss, including myself. I can only presume that the people who made these comments are under 35.

There's a great movie called, Memento. It's about this guy who has severe short term memory loss. He can't remember anything for more than a couple minutes. Don't hate the movie right away. It might take a while to understand what is actually going on.

I had some research on alternative medicines a few years ago. At first, I did not believe in alternative medicines. I had to see my mother at a chiropractor's office for her footbath treatments. I had no idea what this footbath do for her. I watched her for 30 minutes. I was surprised that the water turned brown. This color brown stuff is toxic that she had in her body. Of course, it does not hurt her at all. I was impressed. Of course, it is disgust to look at it. I had an appointment. I had little brown and some tiny black and pink coming out in the water. I had a knee problem for 1 1/2 years. One day later, my knee pain was gone. (The colors have different kinds of toxic.) I am convinced in some alternative medicines. My mother's mind became clearer and more aware of herself after her three treatments.

There is another treatment is called Qxcil. This device is a zapper that kills all bad cells and parasites in your body. In fact, I did not feel the zaps at all. It helped my mind more clear and aware of myself. This treatment is expensive - $150 just one treatment for about two hours. I broke my promise that I was supposed to go back for two more treatments - I cannot afford at this time. Of course, I will go back for another treatment.

I would recommend to try these treatments. There is another thing that you should concern about your teeth fillings. It is wide spread that most dentists do not tell the truth. A grey metal filling, in fact, contains mercury in it. Why? Most dentists do not want to spend their money to buy expensive fillings such as pure plastic and porcelain. They want to get the most profit period. Actually, it has been done that way for years, and they become custom telling people that the metal fillings are safe. Since then, the FDA forces seriously requires all dentists never disclosure or discuss on mercury issue or suggest them to get alternative fillings because of business money issues. Four years ago, I had a special dentist to remove all of my amalgams and put pure plastic fillings on my teeth. It was a long procedure for my dentist to do the job. (Three appointments and very expensive. It is a specific procedure - not just take them out quickly. I wore a special mask to avoid mercury vapor while removing them out. My dentist wore a 'rubber' mask.) It was terrible experience for me. I feel fine and better. I was really glad that I got it over with it. It is really worth for you to get rid of all the amalgams fillings. Your body really appreciates it. Did you know that our teeth are involved with our brain? (This one that I don't understand.) It is just like put our feet in the water and play with it. With metal, the teeth feel stuck and they did not feel free... You know what I mean. (My mother has some metals in her root canals, and they cannot be removed because she is 62. She got most of amalgams out.)

My recommendation for you to start with (in order):

(1) Remove all amalgam fillings and get pure plastic fillings (you need to do your research before you get the right pure plastic.)

(2) Qxcil treatment

(3) footbath (if you get brown stuff - get two more treatments)

I would recommend you to take these treatments - of course, not at the same day. After your treatments, it is extremely important that you should drink a lot of water and take a lot of vitamins such apple, pears, banana, some vitamin pills, etc. because these device take away all of vitamins including bad stuff in your body. It is just like they clean your inner body.

(Some chiropractor services provide a footbath - some cannot afford to buy the device for their business.)

For your sister, I sort of not surprised that it affects the brain due some blood loss and especially anesthetic chemicals is involved because of the toxic. The only way that I can think of is to get rid of toxic by using these alternative treatments. It's your choice. These treatments do not harm our body.

My mom came home from Grocery Store, was smiling and so happy, she said to me.... "I bought Hot Dog Bun for my grandson. I can't wait to see my baby on Friday."

And

DUH!!!! I told her she forgot to buy hotdog.

Does she have short term memory or she's just old and senile?

cant remember

Hello, yeah, did u take your husband to dr, check him out for his short memory problem? You have nice avatars. Would appreciate if U could tell me where you got avatars from. I d be grateful. I do have short time memory problems too, started them last last year. I dont know what to do either. Nice meeting you.

Bad memories

Gee, I noticed others have bad memories. I happened to have it from late last year. My husband is tired of my forgetting things. Anyone know any good ideas how to help, or any info, and which drs should I go see for my memories problems? BullyMom, where did u get cute avatars from, I would love to know which website. Would appreciate that. For others who got lousy memories, its good idea to write down, each day, and things to remember what todo , shopping list and etc. I started doing that too lately now. Hope to hear from all of you here soon. would like to hear about those bad memories and stories too. Smile
