There are powerful pedophiles in Hollywood with enough money to make people turn a blind eye. Everyone knows who they are, no one will do anything to stop them to save their careers. We have too many laws that protect the criminals and none to protect the victims. Roman Polanski skated and Hollywood gives him an Oscar. Wood Allen has also been accused - by his own children. No one thinks to question him. They just thought his relationship was a misunderstood Hollywood love affair. I remember all the actors that supported mob boss John Gotti because he was a "warrior." People are sick.

The sad reality is we can't protect our children and guns aren't the answer. With the crazy laws we have in this country most recently involving school children, it's a better option for parents to start home schooling rather than rely on school administrators.

If they are able to choose then it isn't forced to work. They had a choice. Harsher sentence or work. Plus inmates that do work earn "gain time" Some inmates do goto work camp but those are the ones that are low risk from escape and can not have a sex crime on record. inmates that are confined in prison are able to different jobs inside prison such as Kitchen, laundry, housekeeping jobs to earn gain time.

There are some prisoners who just plain enjoy doing the work, too. They prefer to keep busy and get out of their cells. It's a mentally healthier thing to do.

In SC, the trustee prisoners get to work on the road crews. It's hot, dirty, exhausting work but there are some who prefer that.

I wholeheartly agree. Good way to stay busy and pass time also.

As long as they get enough water to drink it's not too bad. They also have their own porta potty on a truck for convenient use (and security).

I've done some of that same work myself. The prisoners clear the brush on the interstate side of the fence. Our church volunteers (including me) clear the brush area closer to the fence on the parallel frontage road that our church faces. I like clipping the brush with my loppers. Sometimes they put me on the road with the Slow/Stop sign (I don't like doing that).

Of course, guns aren't the answer. They are just a tool to keep crime down, just as exact same purpose written in 2A.

Of course, there are cases where guns won't do a damn thing. I had a guy who I thought really one of my friend. I was in deep shock that he molested her own daughter! He is currently serving, and will be deport back to his home country. He STILL has wife, and has 3 daughters. Im trying to figure out why she won't leave her sicko husband. Mind you, he is very rich guy, has $400K house that was built 4 years ago and he is still the first owner of that house. He got sentenced only 3 years, but intended to be deport once served half of his sentence. I lost respect with him and not sure whats friggin wrong with him. He just look just average guy and drives Land Rovers.

I also don't think only sex offenders walks free, I believe that it includes most kinds of crimes. Those who has sentence sooner than expiration than others will get free "Get out of jail" card.
