Is that the one through the Keys? If so, yes, I've been on it. Sometime in the mid-to-late 80's. There was a storm out in the Atlantic so the stores had weather tracking maps available. We got one on one of the 1st keys (island) to use. Luckily the storm never got close, as far as I recall.

Now I have to look that one up, grummer. It is a huge economic boom going on in those countries.

Yeah, it's the lower part of the overseas highway that spans 100+ miles out of Miami.

Just remember before going to visit the bridge.... Miami is in the ghetto. :D :laugh2: Only go in the day time. :P

I want to try the Confederation Bridge that covers 12.9km to Prince Edward Island.

When we went to Washington DC in the 90s, my dad and I wanted to do the Chesapeak Bay Bridge/Tunnel but my mother is a big chicken and the thought of a huge bridge/tunnel/more bridge was too much for her.

A lot of people freak out on the 7mile bridge and just freeze up, wont move and have to be rescued....Just because they get out there and suddenly realize theres no land in sight.

She is just convinced that everything is going to collapse as soon as she goes near it. We went to the Greenwich Tunnel in London and she would get anxious (maybe because it slopes downwards so you can't see the other end, or maybe because you can faintly hear the river above) that even though the tunnel had stood for over 100 years and even survived being bombed in WW2, it would collapse as soon as *she* was inside.

Somehow this didn't affect her on the Channel Tunnel or on any subway train.
