As a resident of the Lowcountry of South Carolina, I want to set the record straight--Charleston is not on the Gulf of Mexico despite what President Obama said on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"...If we don't deepen our ports all along the Gulf — places like Charleston, South Carolina, or Savannah, Georgia, or Jacksonville, Florida — if we don't do that, those ships are going to go someplace else…."

Did you send Obama an email? I wonder if Jay Leno picked up on that and said nothing.

He was utterly Gafftastic!
"I think Putin and Russia have a big stake in making sure that the Olympics work," said the commander in chief, "and I think that they understand that for most of the countries that participate in the Olympics we wouldn't tolerate gays and lesbians being treated differently. They are athletes. They are there to compete. And if Russia wants to uphold the Olympic spirit, then every judgment should be made on the track or in the swimming pool or on the balance beam and people's sexual orientation shouldn't have anything to do with it."
(Or on the ice and snow, considering it's the Winter Games, but no big deal. The president's got a lot on his mind.)

Oh, that's just great. He's geography impaired, too.

No.

Jay said nothing.

I bet he did not want made Obama look stupider . I send emails or call the White House when I disagree with something. They had my email address before I even send them an email. I guess they got it after I called them .

Hmm...watched the video. Sad. Supertankers meaning oil supertankers but no Keystone Pipeline? Sad.

Oh well, Obama made mistake for sure, just like previous president did. :dunno:

I think he need use "coast" instead.

I stand by my fact. Puerto Rico is the 56th state! Only an idiot would think otherwise! In fact, one Congressman was so concerned that too many people are living on one side of the island of Puerto Rico the weight is causing the island to slowly tip over. BTW, Maine is the 54th state. Texas is the Lone Star state. Independent.
