It've been awhile since Sega made any games based on movies and now that the next generation is here again, Sega and 20th century fox will make a game based on the smash hit franchise, the "alien" movies since the cult classic 1979 sci-fi/horror film. I've always LOVE watching alien movies from "alien" to "alien vs. predator" :D such classics.

Now I really hope there will be a really good game based on the alien movies like there was one back in 1998 of a FPS game where you play either the alien or the predator and I thought it was really cool but too bad it was only on PC. :( Now I hope they will do something like that with the new alien games and I get to play as the alien chowing up some human brains! :P lmao

SEGA Hunts Down Alien
Classic movie franchise rights snapped up for slathering next-gen goodness.
by Matt Wales, IGN UK
UK, December 11, 2006 - SEGA has announced it will be bringing games based on the classic Alien sci-fi movie franchise (including the original Alien, Aliens, Alien: The First Rubbish One and Alien: The Really Rubbish One That Wasn't Even Any Good Drunk) to next-gen consoles, starting 2009.

Teaming up with Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising, the worldwide exclusive agreement sees both a first-person shooter and role-playing title currently in the pre-prodcution stages, with more titles presumably to be announced in the future.

According to Simon Jeffery, president and chief operating officer over at SEGA of America, the company "will utilise the power of next-gen systems to blend the time-honoured story with leading edge design technology to deliver a riveting and suspenseful gameplay experience."

For scant information (by which we mean 'none at all') on both games currently in development, you can check out SEGA's official Aliens site, featuring a big egg and a dribbling monster.
