Coming on July 25 new movie about the greatest rags-to-riches in sports history during the Gr8 Depression....and its a HORSE named Seabiscuit that got more attention than FDR and Hitler combined in the news during 1938 and even beat the Kentucky Derby winner War Admiral during the Pimlico race!

I just got the book the movie is based on and the book was so damn good!

Seabiscuit's story reminds me of Funny Cide's attempt to win the Triple Crown (Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes in one year ) this year.

SEABISCUIT Starring Tobey Maguire (Spiderman) as the jockey and Jeff Bridges as the owner of the horse.

if u thought seabiscuit was pretty odd go to a race track and u will notice horses carrying lot funnier names than seabiscuit.

yeah I have heard of Phar Lap and seen the movie too myself.

If Phar Lap was alive at that time in 1938, he would have joined War Admiral and Seabiscuit in the Pimlico special. Interesting to see how it would have turned out if Phar Lap joined in the race if he didnt get posioned in 1932.

Yeah, it would've been an interesting race to watch if Phar Lap had lived in 1938. I have heard about Seabiscuit, but didn't know much information on the horse. I'm gonna go and google some info on it. ;)
