Tomarow is my home comming and i am really nervous about going cause all the friends i'm going with don't know any sign and with how loud everything is i can't hear all that great. and my blind date that i'm going with doesn't know any asl ethier so i'm really worried. I really don't know what to do someone help me!

Vampy's right.. be yourself and enjoy while you're there! It can be the time of your life???

I guess what i'm really worried about is my date is gonna think i'm a complete freak and i'm not gonna be able to really talk to him

Teach your date some basic sign language. It could be fun that way. Also you may want to bring papers and pens just in case.

Hey great idea i will sure try that. i suppose if h's not willing to learn some sign he ain't a keeper

I agree with everyone here... I did asked my new boyfriend, if he willing to learn ASL, he said yes and I taught him some yesterday, best is if teach him like 4 words a day, until he feel comfortable to learn more than 5 words- same idea as when I took Spanish in HS, I learned a few words a day then gain my skill with Spanish. As for homecoming, I usually go to my alumni matar that I graduated in 2003, I have been going to homecoming games since because my friends are usually there. Homecoming games are fun.... Just be yourself and bring paper n pen (that what I do with my BF), and important is to have fun!!!!! Keep us updated on what happened.

Paper and pen method sounds good, why? Cuz you can do both: Turn up the music for him full blast & read & write notes back and forth simultaneously! :)

ok paper and pen came in handy for my friends but my date stood me up.

But the night turned out great me ex's bff asked me out and he is so so so hot and the sweetest guy i've ever met :giggle: :thumb:

oh and
P.S he's really excited about learning sign launguage last night i taught him his name took about 10-15 min but he got it and i'm so proud of him
