Got this email this AM..."supposedly" from my good friend in NC....

Hello , i hope you heard about my good news lately? Let you know that i won USA deaf awareness lottery from JOAN JACKSON, i won the sum of $500,000.00 Dollars and i have gotten the money already, i am so happy and excited because i can't believe this can happen to me in my life, this is what i had been dreaming about since all this years, i plan to buy new house with large kitchen and swimming pool soon but i have already ordered for truck and they will deliver it in two weeks time, Deaf Awareness Lottery is a good company because they help the deaf people and some of my old friends also won the lottery prize and they have already gotten their own money smile i am happy for them, JOAN JACKSON told me that many deaf people won the lottery and i asked him to show me list of winner and when he showed me the list i found out that your name and Email address was on the winning list and i am so shocked and excited for you, did you heard from JOAN JACKSON yet? if no you better Email her to JJACKSON99@OUTLOOK.COM right now because they also have good news for you too, i am planning to go for vacation soon and my Vp is not working but i have called the Sorenson and they will fix it up next week or so smile:hmm:

Next time ask them how many cars with turbocharged engine they were able to afford to win with their prize. See if they make sense.

I received alot email from scammers. They tried to sell me fake viagra pills. they use "outlook" email all times.

I figured it out after looking at the email closely...whoever sent it added 1 number extra...so it wasn't from my friend!...Very trickey, tho'...to clarify it...instead of "468" it had "4618" in the address....but the same name...

Don't want to get banned from AD...:giggle:...so I won't say what my response was...And it's near the Holidays, so guessing more and more of these Scams are gonna be coming out...

rr both me and a friend had something similar it was not deaf but epilepsy thing,i thought this scam had finished

Excellent catch, remember the rule of thumb... if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. What that means is that if it sounds too good, it could be scam after all.

Scammers is getting old and boring, they all goes to garbage.

I've seen a few of those "deaf lottery" scams on FB a few years ago and in email. crazy what the scammers will try to do to scam folks out of their money.

I feel sorry for the people who fall for these jerks. They should trace their IP address and arrest them.

Laura

Oh there's lots of deaf scams out there sadly, I see them on Facebook aaaaaaaall the time. This one just makes the idiot light flash lmao! I wish I could see the people who actually fell for this so I could slap them in the forehead.
