hmmm.. so you are saying that children will think it's okay to become gay after see gay in public and get marry which is cool?

America has always made it so hard for many of their own citizens. back in the old days, america wont let women work and vote, so it's sexist. america won't let black people go into college or go into public where whites are, so it's racist. today, america won't let gays and lebsians have marriage so it's hatred or homorhonist (sp?) to remind people over and over again for the past 120 years and on...IT IS NOT A PERFECT WORLD!!! now millions of people worldwide who are part of nazi or KKK organizations, who are hardcore reglionous people reading the bible too much and saying gay is against God and that letting "******s" in church is a sin too. :roll: who are into hatred and obsessions of killing one another to do "God's work" has learn this term:

Frankly..... this is about marriage issues, not racism over homo. :)

I really like for homo to have equal of right on everything... except marriage. :) And keep their live private that we don't want to know. It would be nice like old day. *siiiigh* Your hand is nice and soft....

Why they gotta ban gay marriage. Just let them be. If they want to get married let them. They arent hurting anyone. Now if you say its gods law. Seriously the truth is you are afraid. Thats how I see it. To the gay ppl good luck and dont give up.

U know problems have been here for long time since when law allow marriage to be divorced. Many children were effect by this also, then now we have many couple living together not married then they have kids, they confuse kids too. Not only this gay issues, it is everywhere even on TV confuse kids today. It is already hard on children back in 70's and 80's then now it is no difference on kids today or tmw.
 
To the anti gay marriage folk in this thread.....I was reading a thread over at another messagebord, that made me remember the case of a lesbian couple, who were able to be legally married because the state they lived in only considered birth gender. As a lesbian couple they can't legally marry. However since one was born genetically male (although many years post SRS now), they are allowed all the legal benefits of marriage.
ALL the controversy is about, is about a peice of SKIN!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet you ANYTHING, back in the old days, they insisted that interracial marriage, black people marrying and so on were going to ruin marriage. (and there were people back then who quoted the Bible to support their views!)
How does the fact that the other person happens to have an innie or an outtie change anything?
Sure, it's going to impact kids and society. That is b/c if gay marriage is allowed then gender roles attached to marriage will become obsolete! That in turn will end this whole dumbass gender role thing that was forced on us by the patriarchy!
 
It's impossible about let gay people to get married but it would cost more taxes to payroll before start official with earn net. Just including with homosexual and heterosexual. Yea, I'm gay for 2 years and other bisexual for 4 years but I got bad experience with taxes issues, also I don't want to be marry with someone (including man and woman) but I'm proud to be single and live with gay friends as partner.

There's no big deal if amendment is passed then only Massachusetts will veto the gay marriage laws, only 49 states are not affected with this amendment but gay union and partners are legal, also cannot get marriage license after new amendment is passed. Many people are pretty upset with Massachusetts right now because 1 out of 50 states are allowed. For union that protect discriminate against them based on civil rights, as personal rights too but many workplace and public school have policy to protect them from discriminate, it's allowed to adopt it because it's important to protect our personal rights. Gay pride are still allowed after amendment is passed too.

I just prefer to live with gay people, it known as partner, kiss and hug is legal for all sex oriention as we can have hug and kiss on public area. For union, every states are allowed except for Texas but it's not affect by new amendment, it only bans on gay marriage, that all.
 
oop... Just despite "union" about work. Every public/private workplace and public school have policy to against on discriminate based on human rights, just similar to personal rights but Texas do have policy to protect them from discriminate too, just for most part of USA but homosexual are exempt from military services.

Houston offers gay pride for many years, also in Dallas and Austin too.

I admit..I am suprised that they failed to pass an amendment banning same sex marriage and it was voted on yesterday...That means: There will be more and more Gays/Lesbians...There also will be less and less Christians before Christ returns...;)

If that were true, we'd have laws like "Marry the rapist" and "Beat your unruly kids" around. I am a Catholic, and as such we believe that the Bible is not 100% accurate. There are hidden meanings in there and you can't just take it at face value (for example, the Bible says the Earth is only about 6000 years old, which has been disproven). The Bible also says the sun orbits the earth, which isn't true either. And as a Catholic, I am Christian.
 
I wish that USA would proposal new amendment about bans on capital punishment over all states, just like Canada and UK does. It need expand more federal prisons, it alot better than capital punishment but capital punishment are hurts human rights, it's not good.

USA is only developed countries that allowed capital punishment, that's too embarrass on us.

God's law is interpreted--that interpretation is man's law. There are a lot of topics that Scripture is silent on (abortion for example) that people have formed an opinion on based on their interpretations.

It's inevitable that different people will come to different conclusions. That's the nature of being human.

We should not legislate, however, according to what is, now, a minority opinion, that homosexuality is a sin. The majority does not hold this belief--therefore, this belief should not be codified in law.

That's not true at all. For starters, there will not be more gays and lesbians because the number is constant--the only difference is how many are comfortable being out. Secondly, most American gays and lesbians are Christians (see basic demographics of the USA and it should be quite clear). Some are closeted, some are non-observant, some have found congregations that they feel welcome in. The fact that they have a different sexual orientation does not mean they are not or cannot be Christian.

So what will happen to Freedom; it will removed the law about marriage like the law equal is one but if one is removed and the law is loss.

If the law passed and I have to worry begin child get clone and how do the nature born from human instead gay/leb social of giving birth is from us who is straight. It is like we are selling to you and that what I want? Heck no, and find one of your own.
