US policeman charged with sexually abusing girl in Cambodia - Pravda.Ru

An American police officer from San Francisco, California has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a girl in Cambodia, officials said Monday.

Ngeth Sarath, a prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, said that on Sunday he formally charged Donald Rene Ramirez, 50, with debauchery for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old ethnic Vietnamese girl.

Debauchery, a Cambodian legal term for sexual offenses against minors, is punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.

Police arrested Ramirez on Thursday at his rented apartment in Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, said Keo Thea, chief of the city's police unit that fights human trafficking.

The American had been seen bringing the girl into his apartment but has denied allegations of sexual abuse, the prosecutor said, reports AP.

"He is a policeman, so it is not easy for us to get him to talk," Ngeth Sarath said.

The prosecutor said police also arrested the girl's mother, who allegedly provided the girl for Ramirez.

Last week, 46-year-old Myron Maboris from the U.S. was also charged with debauchery after his arrest for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

That is really sick that makes me really wanna throw up that a police offiver would do that.

Same thing here in Arizona on Indian resversation. An Indian was dressing up Police officer and telling teenager they are under arrest. So the cop took the teenager somewhere and then rape them. They finally caught the Indian cop.
About 14 teenagers were raped by Indian cop.

Cops and the deaf community.

I am conducting a survey on perceptions of cops in the deaf community. I am tired of negligent incidents by law enforcement. This project will help me make introduce new field training for police officers so that they can communicate better with the deaf and hrad of hearing. E-mail me if you can help me. I would apppreciate it! Thanks. {Mod's Edit: Email Address is removed. PM the poster if you wish to contact him/or her.}

See? thats part of the reason that I dont always trust cops since alot of cops are crooked cops thinking they can get away with everything but b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t!

That is disgusting with the cop in Cambodia. I could only imagine hiow they "got him to talk". He is an embarrassment to cops. I hate when policeman comit crimes and hide behind the badge. Tehy make it harder for honetst cops to do thweir job.
As far as the deal in AZ, if I read that correctly, it seems that someone was dressing as a cop and sexually assaulting teenagers. If that is the case, then the guy is not a cop. He is impersonating a cop. Please do not confuse the two.

I did read the newspaper, of what happen on Indian Resversation.. I live in Arizona, I saw him in picture . They finally found him.. That what they say, he was dressing up as a police officer or actually he is police officer. Teenagers were afraid to tell.

"he was dressing up as a police officer or actually he is police"
This statement contradicts itself. When the guy was arrested, they would have easily figured out if he was a cop. So what did the articloe say. Was it actually a cop, or was someone impersonating a cop? There is a huge difference. If he is impersonating, he is as much of a cop as you are, or any other non-cop.
It sounds like a safe bet that the guy was not a cop. If he was, you know it would have been all over the news. It would have been in many more papers and all over TV.

Yeah I know and hmm I remember that case.. it was on court tv, right? :eek2:

not all cops are bad but there are some cops who are bad though...

and the cops who visit this forum is NOT bad cop!

I think I know all of the cops here. I have even been contacted by some cops here that want to keep that fact about them quiet. And I agree with you, I dont know a cop here that I would consider anything less than outstanding. In fact, I would follow a few of them where ever they go.
