Whatever happend to the old days in the 1950s of the NFL? Now that was real hardnosed football. In the 1950s theres was no face mask rule! and if you shove a player out of bounds no penalty. And roughing the quarterback was legal too.
No wildcard teams. There 4 divisons in the NFL in AFC & NFC. If you dont get in first place you go home and no playoff for you. Those were the real days of the NFL. Thats the way it should be. Other rule changes.
Play clock from 25 to 35
No 5 yard contact rule.
No instant replay in overtime
Coaches can challenge anytime as long they have timeouts.

New Overtime rules.
Ball starts at other teams 40 yard line. You can score a TD of a field goal.
You cannot punt the ball if youre stuck on 4th down you must go for the field goal.
If you score other team gets the ball at 40 yardline.
If you score a TD other team score at TD the process starts all over again.
If you score a field goal and other team scores a TD other team wins game over.
If you score a TD and the other team failed to score you win game over.
You get 1 hour to play over time If nether can solve the game then it comes down to field goal kicks. You get 1st field goal from 30 yard line if you kick it its good the other team tries it from 30. If he misses it you win. But if he makes it,,It gets pushed back 5 yards and both makes it,,It goes 5 yards futher keeps going back intil first one misses it loses!

Thats the way the fans like it!

Jeez... that really makes the games boring! I read about them making the contact rules more strict as well. Pretty soon, we'll be playing NFFL! Yep, you got it... National Flag Football League!
 
i like some new rules.. but the new rules about touch down u cannot have a teammate celebrate the touch down this sucks.. i rather see a whole team celebrate not just a player who made a touchdown celebrate.

2 weeks ago.. (vikings)when a defenselineman(yeah over 250 lbs) got the fumble football and run more than 70 yards to touchdown. other player winfield a strong saftey jump for the audice.. *yellow flag thrown* just cuz another player celebrate the touchdown.. this is ridilious!

Yeah, I heard about that too. Jeez!

I remember there being a controversial issue when this player pulled out a cell phone from the goal post and "called home" to celebrate his winning. :crazy:
 
Stupid green bay packers player climb into the fans and pat them after they score a touchdown.I like celebration penalty. Just do it but no signing the football ot get the cell phone out saying,,Can you hear me now? And No defensive celebrations when the clock is running that should be a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct if a linebacker celebraties by sacking a QB .Hello!!!! the clock is still running! When its an incomplete pass then you can celebrate cause clock stopped.I saw limit the celebrations and play football.
