I wonder if anyone have the rodents or are completely crazy about them, or hatred of rodents and label them as "vermon"?

I was used to own rat, then hamster, then mice, then guinea pigs, and now own a new guinea pig.

I absolutely LOVE rodents, they are very good pets.

I was actually asking to discuss about the rodents, which include hamsters, gerbils, mouse, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, rats, chinchillas, all of the rodents kind.

oh I LOVE rodents. I'd see news shows or some other shows that show camera at rats/mice and they're all "eww infestation, eww eww" but when I see those, I go "Awww! How cute!"

I currently have a guinea pig named Orion.. she's a sweetheart.

I used to own mice from 2000 to 2006... breeded and kept over 200 mice total. The last one finally died in 2006.

:eek3: 200 Mice? Wow!

What is your guinea pig's breed? Mine was English Crest.

No idea. I got my guinea pig from local pet store.

Can you explain what your guinea pig look like? Does it have very long hair? Does it have blossoms all over on the body? Does it have blossom on the forehead (English Crest)?

I will able to tell which breeding your guinea pig is.

Nope, no blossoms.

Mostly black with couple white spots on top of light brown spots... with one white line going down her bottom lip to her chest.

Those were taken when I got her in December. She was a lot smaller back then, heh.

Tortoiseshell. That guinea pig usually have brown, black, and white without the blossom, their fur is usually smooth, was I correct?

well I do have a tortie cat... though not same markings. but yeah my guinea pig's smooth-haired.. not long, but not too short either.

Thanks! She really loves it when I stroke her on her nose to her forehead... she goes CRAZY for ice cubes when it's hot.. lol.. she can't get enough of ice cubes  She's a real sweetheart.

My daughter used to have multi-color pet mice when she was a kid. Very cute, especially the tiny newborn babies.

I used to have 2 mice but gave them away because of cats. They were so cute and tiny! HEE!

I wanted a rat but my DHB say no! LOL! I realized nah...dog is enough :)

That's lot! :)

I have 4 rats called Mia, Ella, Little Momma and Coconut Candy. I get all my rats from rescue centres. One of my rats Mia won a rossette at a rat show. I also have 3 chinchillas called Randy, Candy and Severus. I used to have mice in the past. I prefere my rats as they are friendlier then chinchilla's or mice and act like they are pleased to see me wheras I didn't think the chins and the mice cared less wether I was around or not as long as they got fed.

I think having smaller groups of rodents are better as they can leave their cage more often rather then big groups. I used to have 5 chinchilla's and 16 rats and that was really hard work. Particularly since I was also at Uni at the time.

I don't think it's right to breed while their is so many rodents in rescue centres.
