First of all, I want to say something. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow Part 2 was amazing and sad! I don't like how they symbol a snakes as evil. But anyways. At beginning of the movie, there were NO caption! I was very so mad that I was ready to BLOODY SCREAM but instead, my grandma soon knew how I felt as result, she stomped out and yelled at manger for failing proivde a OC (Open Captions). Few mins later, they finally put OC in right place BUT it still fade! I can barely read through out whole movie! I am really pissed off. Next time, if I go there to see movie with OC. If they do like again then I will SCREAM no matter what. They SHOULD HAVE SET UP READY BEFORE FUCKING MOVIE START! THEY SHOULD MAKE TEXTS A MORE BOLD WHICH WE ALL CAN READ! :mad: the movie was awesome but for Regal...FUCK.
 
That's why I gave up the theaters. I wait for the DVD all the time now. Sad to say, but it's better than dealing with the stress and headaches of theaters.

Really, I know on 3 or 5 depend! what i Do nothing I can do patient because long time improve video camera hard not easy technology expert skills quality practice!
 
Well - I don't get the loud booms. I only get my shoes sticking to the floor, people pushing and shoving and knocking you down and no accommodations for my rollator except to sit in the very back where everybody's head is in the way. I happily wait for the DVD, so I can see as often as I want, pause for a bathroom break without missing any of it, and have a much more comfortable seat. When we have our own house, we hook the TV and DVD player up to the stereo and can play it as loud as we want. I have 2 surround sound stereos.
 
Instead of going to the theatre, I have 'movie nights' with my DD with extra buttery popcorn and movie theatre candy and we fill huge tumblers up with our favorite soda, then we sit in the floor of the bedroom on a pallet with pillows and blankets and enjoy the show. To my DD, it's just as fun as going to the movies, and it costs about half as much.

What we are all trying to get across is that sometimes it's easier to watch in the comfort of your home, or even a deaf club's movie night, than to deal with a theater and hope that their captioning works. In some cases, we have children and the cost would be prohibitive so watching at home and making it a special occasion is best. Dixie does beautifully and it's something different than just sitting on the couch and watching a "flick". She makes it more of an adventure and such, so her DD will have memories to cherish. When we lived in Missouri out on the pasture and private property, I would take the DVD projector outside and we would attach a white sheet to the side of the shed and sit outside and watch the movie. Hubby would back the truck in and the kids would lat in the bed with sleeping bags and feel like they were in a drive in theater. Funny part was, we also had a few cows that would hang out by the fence and watch for a short time. Landlord and his wife and a few neighbors would pop by and we'd have a blast. Cook popcorn out on the open fire in a cast iron dutch oven.

Dixie, thank you for reminding me of our good times. I hope your DD really cherishes these times you provide for her.
 
Just call regal and talk to the manager to make sure they have it before you come there. after you going there for a few times, they will never forget about it.

I admire your boldly spoke out but directly in a right way and talk to them in a nice way. Most of them do not familiar with the kind of OC or CC. Just be patient and talk to them.

I admit i sometimes lose my temper but try to control myself because i dont want to give them the bad impression of the deaf sterotype. *shrug*
 
I wrote about my crazy theater experience over in the annoying hearing person thread. Weird!
 
feels bad, man. I saw Harry Potter movie at theater with caption last week. all perfect. no problem.

and btw - it would be better if you can voice your complaint constructively like a grown-up adult.

screaming and cursing... I would ask you to leave theater if I were a manager.

Thanks Kristina! Looks like you did awesome with your kids back in Missouri. We don't have a DVD projector here, but that sounds awesome what you did.

I hope my DD cherishes the time I have with her and I hope that I am leaving a good impression on her.

Kristina is right. We are just trying to point out that it is easier for us to watch movies at home after they have been released on DVD or Blu-ray. I live about an hour from the nearest theatre, plus I work all the time. Getting to the theatre at the 7pm showing isn't possible for me. Also, the late showing at 9 pm is out of the question as my DD would fall asleep halfway through the movie. It's just easier for me to just wait until I can watch it at home. Plus side is, I don't have to spend the gas, pay for over priced concessions, and I don't have to watch the previews if I don't want to.

why you complaint to posts! if you mosts, I shrug I don;t complaint not serious!


Many people worlds the earth! hearing & Deaf how enjoy on watch DVD , I am experience i don't care complaint or reason
