I live next to NYC so we do have several theaters that show movies with CC. We usually have to wait 2-3 weeks after the opening nite for CC-version to be available.
 
This happened once to my wife with kids. I was working at the time. My wife calmly went to complain in beginning of movie when she realized it OC wasn't working and got free tickets for another movie for whole family and they fixed the problem and she enjoyed the rest of movie and was able to go back for free for another premier movie! :D

there you go. mistake happens. your wife handled it calmly like what all managers want because I'm sure managers have dealt with dozens of angry & unreasonable customers all days long so in return, the manager compensates you and your family with free tickets for next time. problem solved.

I'm assuming you have 2 kids so that's what? a $40 compensation? not bad! :thumb:
