Question about the hearing

I don't believe in grouping all hearing people together (or any culture/race for that matter). Most of my hearing friends are extremely considerate in talking to me and the ones that aren't were like that BEFORE I lost my hearing.

Individual habits of certain people bug me, such as my mother mumbles. Another thing that bugs me are hand-talkers. NOT ASL users, but people who are animated with their hands, I tend to get distracted by their hands and think they're signing something only to miss on what they said because I wasn't looking at their mouth. Once I get to know the person though, I tend to ignore it, so it doesn't bother me after that...
