Question about AIM on Sidekick....

My friend said that on her sidekick the AIM kept coming up with the message like, "Signing on too frequently there is limit to how many time in a short period you can sign on with the same screen name. You have been signing on too Frequently. Please try again later". She admitted she had turned AIM on and off sometimes, but she doesn't understand why AIM acted up because of this and even prevent her from logging in again for a period of time. I use my sidekick occassionally and have not had a problem with AIM before.

Any of you have similiar problems with AIM on SK before, and how did you solve the problem? Thanks for your help and suggestions.
 
T-mobile is upgrading their system... so tell ur friend to restart and don't sign on for 5 min then try again.... if not then try repeat again...
 
its happening to me too... i'm about to throw my sidekick away and disconnect the service! :pissed:
 
it's happening to me too but hopefully T-mobile will be done with upgrading soon... why not give them a call to see if they are finished with upgrading or not... if they are finished then report complain why after upgrading, everything is sucking up...
 
i just tried with my sk, lousy result so my advice is just keep trying to resign in continuous until you finally get in... i got in lol
 
Oh, so T-Mobile is upgrading the system...I will tell my friend about this, and to wait until possibly tomorrow before turning on AIM on her sidekick.

yea yea i got same AIM this morning, ugh! and my friends been pgr me but i didnt get them.. oh boy! HURRY UP!

I think tomorrow might be same result but just try to keep resigning on to aim and u will win ;)
 
You shouldn't really be blaming T-mobile. It's AOL that's constantly upgrading their services. As for the connection, it happens when you go in and out of range too often.

well i called T mobile and they say still update on sk.. that why cant send emails or AIM... get it?

Well, it was quite a big overhaul they did - 11.30pm til 9/10am for the upgrade. I know they said finished by 5am, but I reckon they must have run into some problems on the upgrade.
Perchance a couple days to give them time to rectify all the bugs that are happening in the AIM program. Not only for AIM, yahoo's been disconnecting and reconnecting quite often, too. (?)
 
OH yes!!!!!! Im ready to beat the sidekick as hell!! but i gotta to be nice and NICE... Damn it

I have a question....

Have you recieved a blank email on your pager? (not aol, just tmobile email with "xxx@tmail.com")

I got a weird email with <no subject>. No email address was shown. I did ask Tmobile customer service to call Customer service representative and csr said he is across the situation for a first time and had no clue about it. wtf

Now, you get an idea.. hope someone has similiar problem as I do. :mad2: I did call Tmobile today and It was told email errors..they should be resolved in 48 hours, but I have doubts anyway. I will get same shit on and off again later on.

Strange, I never saw this before. I have a difficult time to go through with AIM. I had to restart with my sidekick pager. I got very strange message on aim last night because someone was hacker into my screen name. :eek:

I need to change my new screen name.

Teenager kids said, I was harrassed them. :eek: I wasn't on the line last night as I was working at second shift. I had to shut my AIM down. I wonder if my AIM was on my sidekick while other person can access my AIM on their computer ?

It was scared !
