QQQ about Auto"s Gas Gauge

The gas stations around here accept credit card and debit card.

Even some of the grocery stores have their own gas stations and offer discounts for their own members (3 to 5 cents off per gallon). :)

The reason why I use Startcard cuz I can use pump first then go to QT and get something and pay for foods and gas with ATM card (I simply tell them to charge it as a Credit, not Debit). I don't want to have a hassle of walking back and forth to pre-pay the gas.

In all my cars with a trip meter, every time I fill my gas tank, I set my trip odometer to 0 and drive until the gas light goes on. Worked good enough for me esp with my Rodeo's quick to empty gauge because I rely most on the gas tank light and the distance I drove in the SUV. Most of the time light will go on when I reach 380 to 400 miles on the trip meter.

I know cause if my Rodeo's gas gauge says E and I end up fill 17 gallons out of the 20 gallons the Rodeo is supposed to have.

I don't rely on "low gas" warning light. I rely on DTE (Distance to Empty) display on Durango or Jeep's built in ceiling mounted system. This give me time to figure out where's the next gas stop in 20 miles or less. This give me alot of leeway

One time I drove Jeep Liberty and DTE display showing "0" miles and needle was already sitting on "needle stop pin" while I was driving 8 blocks to gas station. It probably running on fumes  Luckily I made it to Gas station before engine pooped out.
