It's cute. Makes me nostalgic for the old Mario games from when my kids were little.

From looking at the picture, it looks like the resolution is 150 pixels x 150 pixels. If that is the case, that means 22,500 push pins were used. I checked the price for push pins. They are usually under $2 for a 100-pack. That whole thing must have cost him under $450. He probably got bulk discount. :dunno:

I've thought about doing a LEGO mosaic related to some Mario Bros games, but I found out that the cost of doing that would be under $1,500. :eek:

So, if I'm gonna do a LEGO mosaic... I'll probably do something more complicated to get my money's worth. ;)
