PS3 has problems?

I got PS3 2 months ago and seeing problems with pink flashes and black screen shut down for less than a sec while PS3 is on running. Menu pop up while playing BD movies. I called Sony and they replaced it. Now the new system is acting the same thing. I am guessing it's PS3 having problems? Do any of you PS3 owners has the same problem too? If so what TV and cable do you use to your PS3 to run?

I use HDMI Sony Brand (full 1080p) cable and my HDTV is Samsung 46" 1080p LCD HDTV.
 
I don't know about this issue, also used to own PS3 before and never got problem except for network issue.
 
Is your HDTV HDCP-compliant? cuz if ur tv does not have HDCP and u use HDMI on it, your pretty screwed. Use Comp HDAV cables by then. I use genuine Sony Comp HDAV cables on the PS3 and set it to 720p on a Samsung 940MW SyncMaster LCD HDTV.

And my PS3 after 2 months has been going on like clockwork unlike my 2 360's that broke apart in less than a month after I bought or replaced each 360.

Yup, I'm sure that his HDTV is HDCP supported, also most latest HDTV does support it (after 2005).

I guess that he need call Sony or need update the firmwire or post on PS forum if they can help to solve the issue.
 
I'm not surprised.

The Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 both have problems. :(
 
One of the guy told me Samsung and Sony PS3 are not complable, whatever it is spelled. I remembered my orginal verson upgrade is v1.60 on PS3 and everything seems to be fine... then after installing new upgrade v1.70 that's when everything seems to be problems. I guess they need to fix this and fix new upgrade verson.

I had xbox 360 problems 2 times last year and PS3 my orginal system I thought it has problems but realized my replacement system is same thing... guess its the upgrade version is the problem. I read some forum in Sony forums peepz there mentioned that there's DVD not working on PS3 with older verson and the newer upgrade verson works.

Xbox 360 has heating problem back then and now they work fine after they learned the first xbox 360 systems has some vent holes covered which is why they are overheating. New xbox 360s shouldn't be a problem now.

I am getting elite to match the color to my PS3. :ty:
 
The Wii's only problems are arm injuries, smashed tvs from thrown Wiimotes.. :lol: As for system performance, the Wii laps the 360 and PS3 a hundred times over. Xbox360's are notorious for problems, but they seem to be getting better. PS3's do not have that reputation. It is the user who needs to understand the PS3 first before pointing fingers at it. :)
 
I'm getting PS3 soon, expected get one in next month with one copy of Motorstorm.

Motorstorm is pretty cool but it felt you are driving in slow motion in that game. I guess because of from jumping too much caused that felt (slow motion). Turbo speed has limit time to use and take longer for it to regain. I was thinking of getting it but I like on road racing most. Nascar rocks.
