Protect your kids from fan...

Those big rounds they sell at Home Depot.
The old styles we also had at my dads work, had some monster 2 blades that looked like curved fins, and man did they move air, mounted on the wall with recirculating
 
kids today have no common sense. hence the silly warnings stickers on things and manuals. back then - people used common sense and less sue happy.

My friend's son almost lost his half of foot from tractor lawn. Took helicopter from country road to Chicago then surgeries took around 10 hours. It was happen in four years ago. Now he got lump when running but normal when walking. He is around 19 years old right now. I believe so.

I prefer the all or mostly metal fans even the new ones because of the volume of the air can be blown efficiently than the plastic ones. Yeah, they are expensive but worth it. I bought one for $5 at Goodwill back in Seattle but don't remember what happened to it. I had 2 metal fans.

Ever seen similar kind of fan? I've experienced that at my old job and it does blow a lot of air!

I almost killed it once. :giggle: Back to college, I was walking around shop to make sure it's CLEAR then lower the vehicle lift down and I don't noticed that someone moved shop fan in the lift area then shop fan got crack in half way till my interpreter freaked out and kind punch me off from the lever. Later, She said sorry for hurt you. I said no worry and I understand why you punch me off for safety reason.

Two teachers were pissed off and spend few hours to repair on it with hand riveter.

I always took front fan grill cover off and play around with paper, thick/soft pencil drawing, etc. It was so fun! I was around 9 years old.

When I was in trade school, learning HVAC my teacher told me about the 20th century world fair and them having air conditioning. Now, after looking up the history, I think that may have been true, but certainly wasn't the first commercial use. Breweries had them in the later half of 1800's.

A little tip if you ever meet a HVAC guy: We do NOT make cold air, we take the heat out of the existing air!

Once you understand that, understanding refrigeration becomes a lot easier. It really is a simple process, with the right material, and it is amazing it wasn't commercially used before the 19th century.

i use put stick into see how long before it or fan broke...been long time since needed fan so constantly cold
