George W. Bush scolded Conservative Leader Stephen Harper for his silence on missile defence and asked him to help secure Canadian involvement in the U.S. plan, The Canadian Press has learned.

One U.S. official described Bush's reproach to Harper as: "Please don't play partisan politics with this."

The Conservative leader, Stephen Harper is a moron, and I don't think too much of the Liberal leader, Paul Martin either. I see Paul Martin as more of a brown-noser while Stephen Harper is just a total prick who insists on violating people's rights and cut more taxes so people can get laid off and go onto welfare which would get cut down too as well!

Well, Stephen Harper certainly deserves to be scolded because of his immature and rude attitude.

Huh???
It says in the article that the majority of Canadian citizens oppose the, ummm, "missile plan."
I think that Harper is being mature about it, and is not exactly being partisan.
Bush is.

Bush is.

Americans obviously are not familiar with this conservative due to the lack of coverage Canada get in the American Media industry. Yes, a large number of Canadians are opposed to the missile plan. Even a good number of Liberal members are. But is this conservative being honest on the subject?

A big no. He'll say anything to get the Liberal party out of the government. I had found Stephen Harper to be quite a dishonest politican. Especially how a lot of people had to go through hell with the Conservative party when they were in power of Ontario for a decade which is now in the hands of the Liberal. Well, they were called PC (Progressive Conservatives) back then till they merged a couple years ago with Canadian Alliance.

I don't speak too highly of the conservative party, and the now-in-power Liberal party. The Liberal party has been in power for too long, it's time that a different party takes over, but not the conservatives. There are several parties in Canada, not just two major parties like it is in the USA.

I wish Stephen Harper would just stop whining about the Liberal government and spew out a bunch of lies toward them. The Liberal party certainly wouldn't resort to Harper's tactics.

To be honest, I don't think too much of the "missile defense" plan because it would drain a lot of our money. But I do think Harper got what he deserved from Bush.

Lol, Banjo, looks like I came up behind the net once again.
I wasn't sure if that was you posting or an imposter, since it certainly didn't sound like the Banjo we know.
Eh bien.

Ahh. I must admit that I was confusing about your statements in first post of this topic but after your second post, I understand clearly about that.

That's good news to hear.

Just curious, what do you know about the country of Canada? I'll be interested to see what you know, as in comparison to many other Americans. In fact, CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Channel) did a TV special called "Talking to Americans". Click here to view the page on it. I don't know if it has EVER aired in America, which I would doubt that it has been.

Here's a website with several video clips, no captioning though. But you can read some of the funny bits on it. :)

Believe it or not, but several politicans including famous ones had made dumb answers to the questions they were asked regarding Canada! Don't you think it's a bit sad how some Americans don't know who our prime minister is while most of Canadians know who George W. Bush is or who Bill Clinton was?

To some Americans, please don't feel offended. It's just the Canucks having fun with Americans by poking at them while they do the same to us by mocking us on the word, about... or is that aboot? ;-)

Honestly? Not much... Even though I wish I do. I do know few things about Canada that many Americans don't know like... they criminalized the selling of raw milks, raw milk is quite popular in black market (1/4 of Canada population bought the raw milk through black market). Canada government tend to send the scientists to outpost in cold lands if any of these scientists speak up about pasteurization and its devastating effects. Few other things that I do know about Canada but not much. I apologized about it.

I'd love to watch CBC but my cable plan didn't offer that channel. It pissed me off to no end. Any suggestion for me to learn more about Canada and its society, culture, etc?

No offense taken because it is fact that majority of Americans are stupid when come to other cultures/countries beside America.

I am going to watch these video clips now.

Well, that's true about raw milk not being legally sold in Canada. People are saying that the laws are outdated, maybe they're right, maybe they aren't. I don't know too much on that subject to begin with.

Canada government tend to send the scientists to outpost in cold lands if any of these scientists speak up about pasteurization and its devastating effects.

Tend to send the scientists to outpost in cold lands? You're just speaking figuretively, right?

Well, you can learn a lot by googling up on Canada. :)

Yeah. Sorry about it, I am not supposing to say 'tend'.. Actually here's correction: they sent the numbers of scientists to the outpost. Please pardon my ignorance in that part.

Well, that's true. I did that before and haven't get the good results. I guess I can try again someday.

I definitely have to get Nas to interpret for me whenever she comes here. I already saved these files on my computer.

As much I hate to say, hostile toward the others too as well.

Want proof?

I WOULD RECOMMEND ALL CANADIAN MEDIA MEMBERS, EVERY STINKIN' LAST ONE OF THESE MARXIST GOONS, BE PUT ON AMERICA'S TERRORIST WATCH LIST BECAUSE THEY ARE A DIRECT THREAT TO THE UNITED STATES AND THEY SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN FOREVER FROM ENTERING THE UNITED STATES FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.

In fact, I'd recommend going beyond this and halting ANY contact with any Canadian Media member whatsoever, whether its an exchange of technical information or otherwise. America must recognize threats to its national security and sovereignty.

It never ceases to amaze me how some Americans actually believe that Canada would plot such a plan against the USA.

Sometimes -=| YOU |=- freesh!tter Marxist Canukians are irritating like parasites. Those gutless crapweasels you have in Ottawa, OWN you. They too are filthy burdensome pests like the rest of you freesh!tters. Your mother, Carolyn Parrish is the epitomy of your average Canukian woman; more manish than Canadian pu$$ywhipped "males" that surround it, overweight, guteral and reapleat with pistolgrip ears and chipped yellowing, removable dentures.

Canadians are known worldwide for one phrase, "Give us some freesh!t, we can't pay our own way."

You mock American heros because you ENVY them. You have NONE of your own.
When was the last time you Canukian vermin had an MBA leader who had enough balls to land in a jet on an aircraft carrier ? Or are you waiting for one of your "women" to do it for you ?

Why waste the taxpayer's money on making a big entrance? Also, holding so much anger toward Canada... so sad.

Note to Canada: We don't give a rat's a$$$ what you think. The people are too stupid to move away from the "frozen North" and the government is too weak to defend itself.

Okay...

*Sigh* If only there was some way to remove the umbrella of American protection that these pathetic Canadian ingrates currently enjoy.

What protection? We just live next to the USA, but it doesn't mean they are protecting us.

These SOBs are arrogant beyond belief.

How mature...

Many more awful comments made toward Canada can be found here where I got all these quotes.

There are ignorant people in every nation. I have heard a lot of similar tripe from Canadians toward Americans, but I don't believe they represent the Canadian people than those idiots at "Free Republc" represent Americans. And neither governments really represent the people either. Wanna swap? :giggle:

*chuckle* same ol' Freereptards (a popular nick for freerepublic people).

Banjo, frankly that is nothing new about these freereptards. They are very hateful people so yeah, they often are very hostile toward anyone but their party.

I already aware that some Americans are very hostile toward any countries beside America. It is funny though.. they kept labelling themselves as 'compassionate party' but they surely aren't. Well, good thing that they stopped labelling themselves 'compassionate party' right after many people pointed their hatreds out in the past.

Of course, there's always ignorant people in every nation. Though, our way of... insulting each other may be different to a point. :)

Though, 30 million... 300 million... big difference. That's probably why I hear more from Americans than I hear from Canadians about how we or they are so stupid. :-/

Yeah, Americans are even selling T-Shirts with Canada flags on them to give the Europeans the impression that they are from Canada, not the USA.

Sad, isn't it?

Yeah... That's what I plan to buy when I am travelling to Sweden this summer. My Swedish friends warned me about it as well. They even mentioned that they cannot believe that they would have this fear for American friends and their safety during travelling to Europe.

But hardly surprising. It seems that you Canucks are more sensible and educated than we Yanks are, more on top of current affairs. I mean, in my opinion, there is a rubber stamp among pollsters---50 percent. Whenever there are polls, no matter WHAT kind of question in America, it is ALWAYS 50%. At least according to the media.
50% of Americans believe that our own government had a part in enabling 911, while a VAST majority of Candians believe so.
50% of us approve of Bush, and do I need to tell you what you seal-huggers think?
If CNN reported that one morning the USA caught fire and Bush personally peed out the window to extinguish it, guess what the percentage of believers would be?
Sad? Nope, just moronic.
