Possible Obama Assasination attempt foiled

holy shit. I just saw an excerpt of Clinton's speech about Candidate X and Y... ouch that's gotta ZING. I gotta find a complete transcript on that.

I already provided a link that will take you to a complete transcript of his speech. Guess you missed it.

I'm curious. What would be the income cutoff for these poor people who don't deserve equality?

Freeloaders as in... common/poor people. I don't believe they should be as equal as privileged people (the one with money). I do support some kind of assistance program for the underprivileged people but them having equal benefits (like medicare) as the rich for life? :nono:

equal rights........... fine
equal opportunity... fine
equal benefits....... :nono:

I've already explained at great length in my previous post.. the one you dismissed it as "garbage" so no need for me to elaborate any further. You can simply go back to it and reread it.

Well I can understand that, but there are some of people can't be rich due to their health issues, ya know..

that's why I said I support some kind of assistance program. However people who can't work due to their health issues are different. We definitely should help them whatever the cost. They're not freeloaders. I'm talking about "able" people who take it for granted at our expense.

My friend roomed with this guy who lived off on NJ's unemployment program and other program to collect $$$. I was seriously pissed off about that. He did nothing all day and just get high everyday. When my friend moved out, he reported this to NJ Labor Department and they cut him off. Long story short - that freeloader was forced to move out to his parents' home and obviously he wasn't happy about it.

GOOD RIDDANCE

i dunno. I'm glad I'm not a politician to think about that in detail. All I'm just saying is - I don't want my hard-earned money to go to waste for these freeloaders (the useless "able" people). I'm fine about paying for disabled people - I'm not that cruel.

“Suppose for example you’re a voter and you have candidate X and you have candidate Y,” Clinton said. “Candidate X agrees with you on everything but you don’t think that person can deliver on anything. Candidate Y disagrees with you on half the issues but you believe that on the other half, the candidate will be able to deliver. For whom will you vote?

“This is the kind of question that I predict — and this has nothing to do with what’s going on now — but I am just saying if you look at five, 10, 15 years from now, you may actually see this delivery issue become a serious issue in Democratic debates because it is so hard to figure out how to turn good intentions into real changes in the lives of the people we represent.”

any thought??? I just read FOX news' interpretation on it and I kinda laughed. Don't worry - I dismissed it.

"Clinton has continued to lob perceived bombs at the man who defeated his wife, Hillary Clinton, in the Democratic primary. ....... The motive, Morris said, is “to defeat Barack Obama and make sure Hillary can get elected in 2012.”

“I don’t think the Clintons’ feelings would be hurt” if Obama lost the 2008 election, said Republican strategist Chip Saltsman.
"

and McCain's cheapshot capitulation on Candidate X thing -
“John McCain has a record of taking stands against his party and accomplishing the bipartisan change Americans need," says McCain spox Tucker Bounds. "By putting his country first, John McCain hasn’t always been the most popular public official, but it has always made him effective -– so, John McCain is clearly candidate ‘Y’ in the equation.”

:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2: this is beginning to remind me of something familiar...... the double J zing contest? :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

Doesn't one have to have been employed in order to collect unemployment?

Biden's speech.... I'm sorry but this whole "change" thing is not thrilling to me. Obama's vision is not conducive of capitalism and innovation. Because all the money is going to people... the freeloaders.... The whole shibang of equal pay, equal this, equal that... how is it not similar to Marxism? There would be less and less incentives for corporations and wealthy people to create competitive markets and innovations.

I'm sorry to sound like a snobby asshole but i did not live in America to be as equal as a freeloader. I work hard for bigger pay.. and he works and get lesser pay... but we're equal? he gets equal pay, equal medicare as me? Now that's something wrong in the picture. if i want to be equal, i can just go move to communist/socialist country and not worry about whole bullshit like medicare and crap. There's a reason why there are fierce competitions and classes.

Look at Russia. It didn't work. Look at China. It didn't work. and it's not gonna work in here either.

I try really hard to respect and understand the positions of others. I know you're a Marine so here's a bit, heart-felt "Hoorah!" to you and yours for all you do.

That being said, it's obvious you listen to a lot of right-wing radio and watch a lot of Fox News. Obama and the Democratic Party are not trying to turn America into the next Russia, China, or England. I feel the media does a very good job of avoiding any real issues, accountability, factual reporting, and pretty much only serves to deeped the divide between the parties.

Repeating the lies, filth, hate, and general stupidity that comes out of the mouthes of such "professionals" as Rush Lumbaugh, Bill O'reilly, or Anne Coulter doesn't make you informed. It makes you an ignorant parrot. Researching issues might though. I see you post about moderate views in your posts but from time to time I see the same weak, tired words in your posts that I see from Ruch, Bill, Ann, and other rediculous people.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the middle class to not have to take it up the rear end while the upper 1% get billions in tax breaks. If you honestly believe that the country is better off now - by any degree - than it was even 4 years ago, then take a bow. You're the only one I've met.

Yupp I understand what you are talking about, I was used to live with a guy who are like that, he always use the form which ask people to donate for a deaf baseball team, I was so heartbroken that he is actually giving the deafies a bad name, also he's on the SSI and always pesting his grandpa for money, he refuse to go apply for the food stamps so instead he always asking me for foods or steal my foods. He do all of those just because he want to smoke the crack everyday, every hours.. I have to have him out of my house and only consider him as guest if he come to my place.

I've seen so many people do much worse than those people who only use whatever the government can assist them.

I don't think any of us believes that the middle class should be providing the majority of the tax revenues to support social programs. Which is another reason that Obama's plans make sense.

And you know...my dad is a Marine and a WWII vet. He supports Obama. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

My God, the hypocracy is astounding!

me? marines? lol I'm not a soldier and I've never a soldier in my life. listen to radio? how? I'm HOH. Watch FOX news? I watch tv about 2 hrs a week or less and it's certainly not FOX news... my favorite LAWS AND ORDERS!!

and Rush Lumbaugh, Bill O'reilly, or Anne Coulter? uh... I believe they should be hanged by their dicks and I think Anne has a dick. I think you're new in here but my political view is Centrist but leaning to conservative... aka right-wing. and yes there is something wrong with this picture - an upper 1% having a tax break in this time of economical crisis. I was stupefied. and no I've never said this country is better off than 4 years ago. Didn't you read that I want Bush Administration prosecuted for war crimes and war profiteering?

boy I wonder how you came to this kind of conclusion! oh well it's ok. :cool2:

Hmmmm:hmm: People collecting SSI complaining about other people collecting SSI. What's wrong with this picture?

Yep. Which means it wasn't his choice not to work.

which is ok - remember... I support some kind of assistance programs. BUT my friend (an Obama voter) said he had no intention to look for job and was living off on it for several months - which was how he was paying apt rent. He did get some odd jobs but it was very temporary (it was paid under the table). He spent most of his time getting high and playing games... collecting the benefits.

What a fucker! and I consider him as a DOMESTIC DISSENT! :mad2:

Unemployment compensation is time limited. And hardly sufficient to live well on.

I'll have to ask him for more details. I can't remember clearly. This was few years ago. He received a several hundred dollars per month from them. I think he was collecting other benefits as well and some money from his parents. Again - I'll have to ask him for clearer details.

Yes, perhaps it would be better to be clear on the details prior to pronouncing judgement as a freeloader.

no no. We were upset about it. He was actually living as a freeloader until my friend reported him to Labor Department. I just can't remember for sure how he was collecting money for several months.
