Oregon State Police, Salem Police, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Keizer Police completed a search of the campus grounds at Oregon School for the Deaf after receiving a call that two armed juveniles were spotted on campus at 1:36 p.m.

After an unidentified caller told police that one of the juveniles had fired a gun, the caller was disconnected, Salem Police Sergeant Kevin Halvorsen said, prompting a massive manhunt at the school.

Oregon School for the Deaf students and Baker Street Charter School students were locked down, according to police.

Parents were routed to Highland Elementary School for information about students, police said, adding that all 115 students had been accounted for.

Police said parents can now return to Oregon School for the Deaf to pick up students who live in campus.

Police said the call came in through a relay system normally used by people with a hearing impairment, police said.

Area roads were closed from Broadway to Cherry Avenue NE.
