tell ya truth i hate this, I would not accept any kind of emails such as this without proofs because this is what it could cause a ugly fight, rumors, etc. I have one member posted at my site and I told that member to not do that again next time until that member have proof first such as news story (valid information) then I would dont mind post it for members to view. Always ask for valid information on this then should be no problem knowing that is true story other than passing out the message and cause something that shouldnt be happen.
 
very true Shiva -- i agree with ur comments abt not believing emails cuz itll just lead to unvalidated rumors and arguments
 
It's never a good idea to solicit chat with someone you don't know. Especially, if that someone is aggressive. If you run across someone who makes you uncomfortable, block them immediately. Its also a good idea to block unwanted emails from coming through. It saves you the headache of having to deal with morons like this!
 
Tweetybird.. you can protect this one but it's not good idea to spread this post on the alldeaf.com.. You know Alldeaf.com is already popular and u won't know somebody know about it.. and u can get watched.. so don't need to post anything like that.. Just keep yourself and u may make the comment who u trust...

Alldeaf didn't mean very TRUSTED forums.. we still be proud being deaf yes yes but think about stabbers, lies, gossip or whatever is that.. Again.. don't forget that we are in tiny world and gossips go wild and faster than the bullet.

Coolie's right abt that its a wise thing that coolie said this, cuz u know we are a small world. and u can if this was not true be sued for defamation of character.
 
Yes I do agree with members here about this issue however like Oceanbreeze says Just be careful with who you chat with that all you can warn to everyone else in here with a reminder about chat with person online. I dont mean to put negative on you tweetybird but Just dont want make you feel bad or put yourself in bad position for doing this. What I can suggest you can do is change the message and kindly remind members with tips of how to chat with online person such as hints if something is wrong or best way to meet in person such as that. It would make no difference if this happen in real world other than chat online because suppose you meet a person at a club you dont know that person either. IT is still danger to meet a person who you dont know either in internet world or in reality. Best way is to learn and talk to that person before take it farther. We know we do care about everyone here for their safety but also think about the bad person that turn out innoence and people have waste time hurt that person because there were no proof and they didnt even bother to find the information before hurting that person. So best to have this message with valid information or remind them what dangers out there rather than expose one person's role without any proof.

:ty: Hi TweetyBird!!!! When I went to Church this morning, the Director of our Church, who is deaf, came up to me and show me your exact message, and asked me if I knew who this was? Apparently the Director received this same exact warning, but, with a picture of the man named and it was the exact same name. So, I guess this has already gone out on all emails, but, this man lives in Mass. and a friend of his from Mass. sent this same message to him. Thanks Tweety!!
 
Thanks for letting me know, Tweety! To be honest with you ad'ers.. what if you guys met him and he threats you like that?? At least Tweety was wanting you guys to stay safe and be aware of what's going on around you. You'd be sorry if something like that happens to you.. so glad Tweety spread the words.. really.. sometimes there's no proof but just be aware that's all!
 
I know this victim from my childhood years. Also know her roomate thru mutual friend. Glad she's okay as well.
 
Hope the victim went to the cops to make a report for assault and battery... and a restraining court order if that is necessary. It's a gritty lesson to learn about meeting people online.. but I don't think the Hillside stranglers met their victims online, so it must apply to meeting in any form.. at a bar, a library, anywhere.

Honestly, I think it's great that we all receive the warning and want us to be safe and be aware. It's better than worst. No matter either it's rumour or not but still be aware, that's all.

OMG, yes! There was this weird person who IMd me b/c he found my AIM on AD, and he was all friendly and acting socially retarded....he kept IMing me even thou I knew like nothing about him.....it was just so fucking annoying!

hello everyone my name is deafgirl nc and tweetybird is right dean is very dangerious he now resides in toledo ohio and has abused a little girl and her mother he was recently in jail in toledo ohio
