Plm with swimming pool

I just had notice our swimming pool was left for almost a month within cover.. Ofc, there is water under there and when I went to NEB with our friend from Kansas and their swimming pool become GREEN. I starts to worry because I left it for while. Yesertday, 100 temp HEAT comes out... I took the cover off from swimming pool.

Ummm, there is strange looking in the pool.... like fuzzy like look... I asked DD to check it out. She look at it.... she deicde to cleaning it off during she is inside of pool... (I think she is SOOOO HOT) :lol: I try to sweep the little pierces from leaves or bugs. I added the water and get inside with her. I think it is really fuzzy and felt like slippery there. She said it has alge in there.

After an hour, we pour all water out from pool like our friend's hubby did because their GREEN so our is fuzzy looking... I clean base and top with bleach and hang it u so let it dry.

Do you have any idea how to clean it with ??
 
That sounds like algae needs to be controlled in the pool. Maybe it's due to algae growth. Maybe there's algae control chemical to keep it under control, I guess.
 
Use chlorine tablet to keep the swimmin' pool clean. Be sure to get PH tester first -- it will tell you how much amount you need for chlorine tablet in your swimmin' pool. You may also ask someone at the store about chlorine instruction for your swimmin' pool.

when i went my friend's house in KS for her birthday and i went swimming and i enter pools got FREAKLY COLD! but i swan for hours and my friend's step-father get somethings for swimming but thankness god! and got warm for that!

you should not cover the pool while hot days .. if you cover the pool , it will increasing more algae bacterias, fuzzy hairy algae in it , cause they loves keep shades from sun that why ...


If it family pool .. ahh that big plm since it won't wash off from algae so you can't put any chlorine tablets in it... so buyin another one!

FYI I learn alot about swimming pool when I was young. The cheapest solution is using chlorox! I know it is hard to believe, BUT the chemical in chlorox is pretty much the same as these expensive HTL chlorine. In fact chlorox is less irriatable to your eyes than HTL, but again some people are sensitive to shock. So depending on who.

Does not matter cover or not, draining is wasteful way! These chloriox will do the trick and takes about a day or two to get these gooney green out. Yes, it is algae. very common when the water becomes "Black". Black water is equilvent to rain water, the tap water you get is called "White" water. I forgot the other type of water what it is called. Anyway, with black water, it does not have anything in it to stop algae from growing like white water does.

Yes, that is right.. My parents have swimming pool and I bascially take care of their pool all the time, and test the pool all the time.. Be sure you check the ph test first and find out how much chlorine you should put in your pool. If you or anyone doesn't bother the pool, that is why the water change to green. It must clean daily and keep takin care of and put chlorine tablet in floater and mix shock and dump in the water, it will clean up the water, it will take 24 to 48 hours tro clear up.
 
Really, the advantage of cover is to warm up the swimming pool. Algae can be controlled by using chlorine. Remember the cover absorbs the heat from the sun, that is HOW it warms up the pool. The higher the temperature the faster the growth of the algae.

What you need to do MizzDeaf is take an amount of water from your pool by putting it into a bottle, take it to any pool stores near your home, they will test it for you and tell you exactly what you need to put in your pool, there are serveral reason why you may have green stuff in your pool, it could be from not having enough chlorine, shock waves, etc.....It is very important to test your pool everyday to be sure it in the right level otherwise you can become sick from having a dirty pool or if you put to much chlorine or shock wave into your pool, it can cause your skin to become damage, or worse....

The pool store can test your water for FREE without any charge, they also can help you by telling you what you should be put in the pool daily to keep your pool from getting dirty or green....Roadrunner test the pool everyday and that why it is important to know you have the right amount of chemicals in your pool..

Swimming pool is expensive to own and operate. I let YMCA do the dirty work and pay all the expenses. I just swim there without worry of expense and maintenace the pool.

Pools are not that expensive to own at all, you may spend alot of money on buying a pool but it last for a long time or maybe forever and then you will have to take care of the pool daily to keep the pool clean and the chemicals you buy for the pool are not that expensive either....It's worth to own a pool during a hot and humdity weather....I don't think I can live without a pool during the summer! :lol:
 
Reminder from my first post on this thread, I had swimming pool most of my early life, I know what it cost, maintenace and other stuff. It really ain't worth it especially where we live! 3 months a year? I would understand if it is in Southern California like San Diego, home of endless summer.

Does it really matter if you use the pool 3 months, 6 months? It's more privacy to have your own pool and not worrying about going to a public swimming pool where everyone splashes at you, where it's overcrowd. Private swimming pool in your own home is a lot worth it. I love going over Angel's house and swim in her beautiful pool. ;)


Poor Mizzdeaf :hug: Hope you get that problem solved soon. :ily: I know that you are so busy with working and traveling for softball, that might cause your pool not cleaning or putting enough chemicals in just like some of them already said in here. Good luck to you hon. Hope you find what the problem is to your pool. ;)

Then we vaccumed the bottom of the pool because the algaecide, while the pool filter is running brings up all that slimy stuff on the bottom of the pool. After several treatments of the Algaecide and shock treatment, the water starting turning blue. Then we added liquid Chlorine, and water clarifer, which makes the water look shiny. We took a sample of the water to the pool store we always buy our supplies from and told us the water had been fine.

Pools can be a lot of work, but, it's worth it to stay cool on hot, summer days.

Interesting... Is treatments for water cost alot of money? How often you use those treatment ?

We start to thinking about build swimming pool at our garden since the swimming pool are building at my neighbor´s house at 3 weeks ago. It still unfinish. Our neighbor have their friends who build the swimming pool for them. They told us that they would be happy to build for us but we told them to wait until next year to see either our neighbor are happy or not... They said that they built swimming pools for their friends quite often.

My sons began to exciting and want to have pool at our garden.

ahhh, now i see why my pool is fuzzy because of cover.... I had it upside-down and let wind pass under it... the cover is off.. now, we have rainning so cool it down.

you will need some shock on there to kill the aglae and you also can grab a super clean bottle to take to pool store and they will tell you what you need to clean the pool.
 
oh you will need to clean out the filter very frequently to get good results quicker.
