PHILADELPHIA -- Federal authorities in Pennsylvania charge three New Jersey men, including a pizzeria owner, with torching another deli to eliminate the competition.

Alessandro Tramo of Bordentown allegedly hired two men to set fire to Ben's Deli and Cafeteria in Bucks County by throwing Molotov cocktails through its front window in December 2002.

Tramo is the owner of the Anthony Four pizzeria, which was located close to the deli in Morrisville, a Philadelphia suburb.

Authorities say Tramo offered $10,000 to William Anderson to burn down the deli. Investigators say Anderson, whose hometown wasn't released, then solicited Bruce Armstrong of Trenton to help set the fire.

The men are charged with arson and conspiracy. If convicted, each faces from 5 to 25 years in prison.

Damn! That reminds me of a scene from Grand Theft Auto. Hehehe!

That sounds so familiar. When I lived in Middletown, RI, a new chinese buffet opened (#1 Buffet). A smaller buffet (Batik Garden), who has been in business for many years, bought a bigger place to expand. There is no proof, but #1 Buffet tried to torch Batk Garden's new store. Lucky, the fire bomb didn't work. Batik Garden is still in business and #1 Buffet is now another restaurant.
