Pet eating Snow..is it normal?

We used to make snow balls for the dog to chase.
Throw the ball and the dog looks for 15 minutes!

Oh! interesting!! Never thought about that! we will have to try
that! I will tell my husband to make snowballs for our dog and
see if he will chase or look for the snowball! thanks for the idea
cuz he does need some sort of exercise as he did gain some
weight this winter...

And... as long as it wasn't recently salted. ;)

Only if you live in the city...
if you live in the country, no problem..makes
difference here!
We live out in the country so i guess its ok for my
dog to eat the snow, hehe.

Maggie came home in June, and since it's pretty hot these days I always gave her lots of ice cubes so to her, the snow is just like ice cubes and I tell ya she just goes out these and eats the snow till .............. ??

She does drink water mind you, but only from the water bowl downstairs.

You could try giving your dog just a bit of Celtic Sea Salt in water (but always with another bowl of water) because all animals love salt (and in the wild they will risk their lives for salt), and she'll stop drinking it when she's had enough and drink the ordinary water but just make sure it's NOT table salt, because that stuff is not even salt and not good for us!

Use Celtic Sea Salt! (Google).
(It is hard to find even in the health stores, but I'd only use the Celtic Sea Salt, the himalayan sea salt, I really dislike, it taste a bit like table salt!

I give Maggie a tiny bowl of sea salt because her water every month, but just every now and then.
