Anyone ever tried Peking roasted duck in orange sauce?

What about other duck recipes you've tried at a chinese restaurant?

I had that at a Denver restaurant when I was eleven years old. I felt very elegant and rich. Now I only eat things I actually like.

I love duck.... My favorite is at a place called Roy's (fancier than it sounds lol ) on Maui

I've had duck meat before but orange sauce, I doubt it.

Duck is wonderful. I like it roasted at home with cranberry and orange sauce.

My family had 2 ducks for Thanksgiving one year and we had company, and one of our guest said we were eating Daisy and Donald Duck! And someone said it was better than eating Micky and Minnie Mouse! I have to agree with that. Now I am hungry for duck.

I had duck carnitas at Frontera Grill in Chicago that was fantastic. Basically, it was shredded, like normal pork carnitas, but it was very flavorful.

I am planning to make it myself eventually. I also want to do a smoked duck on my smoker at some point.

Wirelessly posted

Isn't Peking Duck a breed used for gourment food, not the actual famous Chinese dish? If so, who care if it's authentic or not.

Duck a l'Orange Recipe - Duck with Orange Sauce

This is what I actually had in Denver when I was a kid. It wasn't something I liked either.

But in Chinese restaurants, orange beef, orange chicken, etc are things I don't bother with.

Has anyone ever eaten at a restaurant where they had live ducks, and when you ordered a duck menu they would kill one to ensure the freshest of fresh meat? Kind of like the Red Lobster restaurant thing. You see the lobsters in a tank and you pick one for your dinner that night.

One of my favourtie food.

Roasted or peking Duck with Orange sauce or plum sauce (both homemade)

My parents once went a restaurant that had live ducks swimming around a pond and thought they were going a real fresh duck to eat. The meat had been frozen and did not taste that great. My parents were really disappointed
