PC Games

The only PC game that I am currently playing the The Sims 2. I play other people's lives because I don't have one of my own. I am currently creating my dream house... LOL... it's been fun to make. I play it on the family desktop computer because the game is not suitable for a laptop.

I want to get Flight Simulator eventually, but for now I won't bother.

And I have Zoo Tycoon on my laptop.   I know it's a kiddy game, but I put it on because I am cool like that. :P

<---got more PC games stuffed in my Gateway FX gamer laptop and playing them with a xbox360 controller.

Let's see what I crammed into the poor Gateway:

GRID
Colin McRae Dirt
Outrun2006: Coast 2 Coast
Ghostbusters the video game
Gears of War for Windows
Saints Row 2
GTR Evolution and its addon, RACE07
Fallout 3 plus the expansions The Pitt and Operation Anchorage
TOCA Race Driver 3 (the prequel to GRID)
Need for Speed Pro Street and Undercover
Godfather II

I cant wait to get my hands on Need for Speed: SHIFT 'cause it's a GRID clone but with the bonus of including the Nurburgring Nordschleife 15 mile track that GRID didnt have. Plus I want to get DIRT2 but I have to add in the new release of DirectX11 to my GeForce 9800MGTS in order to play it.

Lately I've been pushing the Gateway to extremes with extended sessions of both Dirt and GRID and the laptop seems to enjoy the abuse I throw at it lol.

I have more PC games than XBOX360 and PS3. Mostly I playing games is Team Fortress 2. Since I bought 1TB (1,000GB) hdd last week.

Here's what I have games for PC.

I will play video game on notebook via onlive instead of games cluttering on hard-drives... ;)

Just want to let you guys know if you play Crysis on PC with single video card is not good idea because I get crash few times today because of my video card GTX 260 isn't powerful enough. I suggest dual video card or GTX 295 and up is best to play Crysis. I have to lower setting video, I don't care.

I had finished the couple of Crysis and never got crashed, except for choppy so I had lower the graphic setting so it don't bother me.

I don't want get dual video card because use more power consumption.

GTA IV has heavily requirement system than Crysis does, also GTA IV don't support SLI either.

Dudes, I am wondering if xbox controller will work with old (pc) games such as GTA San anderas, 90s games..?

Not at simple step, you need use profile to programming the controller to get work with GTA San Andreas because Xbox 360 is digital since many Logitech controllers are analog.

Damn, I forgot to add controller at end of word, oh well.

Your welcome, man.

xbgmer trust me the xbox360 controller works beautiful on the PC. During my time with my old Gateway Celeron PC in 1999, I used a Gravis GamePad Pro USB and that pad sucked worse than the xbox360 controller.

At least older PC games have infinite ways to customize your buttons even if your using the xbox360 pad. Its just setting the buttons to your liking. Too bad those old PC games dont support rumble. That suxs cuz I like my controller rumbling all the way.

On some "Games for Windows" PC games, the xbox360 controller should have no problem configuration. On some non-GFW games the compatiability with the xbox360 controller is a hit or miss ugh.

At least the combination of the xbox360 controller and the PC is like made in heaven esp when I dont worry about the xbox360 console getting a RROD on me. Really M$ should be making more PC games esp when they had the Games for Windows banner going and only a limited amount of games under that program ugh.

I have Xbox 360 controller for PC too so use for GTA IV, GRID and other sandbox/racing games.

Xbox 360 controllers are unable to auto programming on old games like GTA San Andreas so already tested on control configuration and really sucks in my opinion so you need use game profiler to get setting so properly but I use Logitech controller for old games instead of buy game profiler, there's link about game profiler.
Add gamepad / joystick support to any game - Pinnacle Game Profiler

There's picture of my Xbox 360 controller and wireless receiver, sorry for crappy picture from BB.

Not all PC games are made from MS and it's up to game developers who make decision to support GFW/Live on PC games, I'm personally dislike Live support for PC games but I have live with it but more time to settle with mods, also there's some newer PC games without GFW does support Xbox 360 controller by auto programming.

Edit, Yup, Xbox 360 controller does work so great on PC games if Xbox 360 controller setting is included like rest of GFW games.

1) Unbelivable! U bring old controller up about Gravis Game Pad for PC in past. Yeah I still have Gravis Xterminator Force Game Pad. in 1998, I purchased it. I didnt use it, because game pad is complicate. I put away it's somewhere in boxes.

2) Sab, I honestly dont have any own games for pc. but I stopped and picked up second hand xb360 games from pawn shop. I saw pc games, they selling GTA: san anderas for 5 bucks. Thats why I asked by this. :)

3) Of course GFW games are capable with X36 controller pad. but i talking about if old pc games can work with x360 controller or not. thats question i asked for.

4) I know what do you mean about you want to play games on PC instead of console would end up the RROD.

5) Yeah I wish MS and other developers such as Unreal, thq, midway, brash on and on makes more games for PC. but remember that they committed to console, game developers will be focus games for console instead of pc. I remembered thats last year what i read article somewhere internet, said some developers will not make games for pc. Because pc games weren't good selling on market. they seeing more and more custom gamers buy games for console than pc.

thats why I am a die-hard CONSOLE GAMER! :cool2:

1) Yes thats exact what i asked for. thank you for gave a test and inform.

2) Foxrc, Million, million Thanks for linking thats what I was looking for. I rather have this programming for x369 controller pad instead of buy another pc controller specs.

3) You dont need to worry about crappy picture.. this is better than nothing picture.. Ha .. :P anyway I like black controller, its more look sexy! So, I can see your black controller is match with black/grey desktop.

I found out about game profiler has trial version so I will try it out to play GTA: SA with X360 controller so will let you know.

There's reason because PC games aren't widely market because console has become more popular due cheaper and in few years ago, the GeForce 8800 GTX cost around $500-$600 so when after GeForce 9800 GTX+ (that what I have one) released, cost at around $200 as new GeForce 200 series like GeForce GTX 260 cost around $300 or less, it's good thing about price of graphic card has dropped so you can build a gaming PC at cheaper, I know that AMD is cheaper than Intel and in last 10 years ago, computer hardware was cost more so I couldn't remember because some people told me and did you remember that?

I'm fine with console but prefer PC due mods and tweaks, I usually buy console version if my favorite games aren't released on PC or can't meet requirement system, only problem is about being college studentand probably unable to bring desktop PC so I would probably sticking with console if some PC games can't fit on MacBook Pro.

I'm glad that I have X360 and already had motherboard replaced due RROD and I hopefully it would survive until next gen of Xbox in 2011-2012.

What a game?

Yesterday I came across the following website I had no clue that it excited. Battlefield Heroes is offered completely for FREE.

You just wondering "HOW I DO KNOW IT FREE"?

I did give a try to played this games. its my first time to play it online by PC.. I noticed that BFH is a beautiful game. Graphics are incredible, With its fun cartoon-style graphics. its only multi players online thru server. the game caters to players of all skill levels. You need register it before access server to playing online..

Battlefield Heroes Hits 2 Million Registered PC Players.. Battlefield Heroes is a fun game. If you are fan of battlefield series or comic games, then go to downloading it about 400MB. enjoy & play it. ;)

Good Luck!

1) Yeah, please let me know how it turn out.. ;)

2) Of course I am f@#king crazie FAN of AMD, it is my HIGHLY demands! and MUST! Yeah ofc I always do building my own PC desktop rather than buy the factory desktop pc such as dell, mac, hp, alienware.. you have seen my own built PC pictures somewhere this forums. keep in mind: I am PC! no else..

3) The main reason why I admire console systems is because they're TRULY economical. Once I bought the system, it will be the primary base for all games related to the developer and its franchises and licensees for years. once I buy a console system there won’t be any more major PC hardware upgrades to purchase, in my opinion. With a PC, you must continually upgrade your hardware system which Games are demand as always. The average cost of a PC is also in the range compared to console’s hundred-dollar range.

Most PC developers provide a complete game and will strive to correct problems encountered after the release with patches that users must download. Console games as is and will never change nor downloading patches once released.

Mainly Console system again is the better choice for hardcore gamers. Console is a family of PC system components.

4) My third times I replaced ones. Like I said in another thread: all xbox 360 are absolutely disposable consoles, period. Yes, I have dealing with XB360 system issues.. Anyway I heard that next gen XBox console will runs BY AMD. I believe that they will run both AMD AND ATI hardwares.
