Palm Beach County shouldn't eliminate interpreters for the deaf during emergencies -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

I was very upset after reading your article of July 5 regarding the possible loss of a sign language interpreter to convey important hurricane information to the deaf. I am not deaf myself, but have family members who are, and I know the importance of communicating the same information to the deaf population as to the hearing population in case of emergency. It is vital for everyone to know what's going on and be able to prepare. I can't believe that the several thousand dollars saved by eliminating this service will warrant the loss of this valuable service to the deaf.
