My guess would be.... the same way they take shape and form, and turn on lights, open doors, etc...

The same way light interacts on the T.V. Just because you are watching something doesn't mean it is actually happening. Some believe ghosts are just energy left behind. Perhaps what was seen was the result of some very intense energy that was left behind.

The world is very strange indeed. Even stranger still are the things we cannot see. Are there ghosts in your house? Right now?
