Offical AllDeaf E3 Discussion Thread

I do not know why Nintendo thinks Earthbound would not be successful in the states. It has its own cult following. Mother 3(Earthbound) was recently released for GBA(?) in Japan. Some people are pissed that there hasn't at least been an announcement for Mother 3 or Earthbound for the states.

How's sad? Rockstars rejected to make new GTA for Gamecube, just same version as PS3 and Xbox.

It's not like the Wii needs GTA to survive. I would prefer to play GTA(4?) on the PS3 with the supposed use of 50GB, which I think will blow minds.

PS3 will rip X360 off after when coming out on Nov 17.

On a unrelated note, Smash Bros Brawl will have Solid Snake from MGS2 and it will support Gamecube controllers.

The X360 will do great this generation because Sony's out of their mind with their price ranges.

The Wii will kick some ass because their games will be so much fun to play for everybody.

The X360 will kick some ass because of great balance on every areas.

I can't say the same for the PS3. I wish Sony the best of luck because they will need it.

I think the inital release of PS3 still will sell out, there are hardcore PS3 fanboys. I also think a lot of people want to wait for a price drop, or for MGS4 to "demand" that they buy a PS3. Gran Turismo is another system seller for the PS3. Now that I think about it, this may be a interesting generation of consoles where all 3 do pretty well, but the possibility that Wii will do better is real. The price range, the confidence of parents in the Nintendo name, the familiarity of the Nintendo name to people who have not played games in a decade. When people walk by a Duck Hunt 2 demo, they will think to themselves, "I used to play that!" and they will get an itch to try it out, and a percentage will end up buying a Wii. Call me a Wii fanboy if you wish, I just know Nintendo's onto something.

From what I read about Red Steel, it's very interest the way you will play like more believeable with skill. Sword to sword... darn, that's hot.

If you aren't inthe industry, it will cost you some $. I just googled it and couldn't find concrete info, so I assume this info is not public knowledge. people in the industry get in. You working for Alienware is an example. Ask your superior or co-workers if you can get a ticket to next year's E3.
Yeah I built a lot of pcs and shipped to E3. Sega, MS, capcom, and two more. I will ask my boss

I do beleive that Nintendo WII and PS3 have a huge advantage over 360 because of the new motion controller, play old school games (Sony is doing it too), great first party for nintendo and great third party for ps. Why is that? For example, Call of duty 3 coming to 360 and ps3 right, who do u think gamers pick which version? i would say ps3 version because of new motion controller and the price. Sony and Nintendo promised that they won't cost more than $49.99-59.99 dollars games. 360 stucks with 59.99 dollars

I'm 100% agree with you :)

PS3 would be more feature like better graphic, more space, more packs based on 50GB CD, more realistic, free multi-players through online, fairly less cost and less frustrated with connect Wifi to router (Just like easier as PSP) but X360 don't have everything, limited stuff.. I think that all new PS3 games will cost no more than $49.99. Limited Edition games would probably cost about no more than $59.99.

What a shocker. Peter Moore of Microsoft says to buy a Wii. Of course, that is, with a 360.

E3 2006: Microsoft Recommends Wii
Peter Moore tells people to pick up a Wii and a 360 instead of a PS3.
by JKR
May 11, 2006 - You read it right. Peter Moore, a vice president for Microsoft, asked in a recent interview, "Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3?" He went on to explain, "People are going to buy two [machines]. They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3."

Microsoft seems to have decided to side with Nintendo in order to overthrow Sony's current lead in the videogame market. Whether the strategy will work or not remains to be seen. Though no official announcement has been made regarding the price of Wii at launch, it is expected to release for a significantly cheaper price than either the 360 or Playstation 3 consoles.
Nintendo has stated many times that it does not wish to compete directly with Sony and Microsoft in the next generation war, opting to move into a new direction with Wii that will complement the other systems.

oop, I got wrong with this point. I means that Microsoft is just jealous of PS3's cost and many people would get PS3 as well but not high demand as like X360, some people can buy PS3 with debit card, credit card or check card because don't need get all cashes from bank. I'm expected that PS3 will be keep in stock, not empty so fast as like X360 does and Microsoft is just NOTHING to do with PS3, stupid Bill Gates and again stupid Peter.

Sony is planning a worldwide launch, aren't they? I will be impressed if they can exceed demand, which most likely will not happen. I can picture PS3s for $4000 on eBay the week it launches.

Yeah I heard about that too...seems that Microsoft and Nintendo are teaming up against Sony or something like that lmao

Since I know you are interested into the Wii, are you also interested in getting the PS3? even though it's $500 or $600?

It obiviously that PS3 will outsell X360 in few years later as demand would be pretty good when most people buy new PS3 via credit card or debit card. Microsoft is just jealous about many new Sony's feature. $599.99 is not bad since it's inflation from early 90's for 3DO and Neo-Geco, that cheap than both of them. I already got good job and can afford PS3 though. For my expect that Sony has good reason to be expensive because of blu-ray, new controller with motion and many features, demand would not rediciously crowded to get PS3 on Nov 17, unlike X360. I have said thanks to Sony for being expensive, much worth to get more features.

Peter is just doing talk and talk and talk against on PS3, he's just nothing to make PS3 discontinue, he looks like stupid to me. X360 with HD-DVD add-on looks weird and funny, that how can fit, next to X360 with little HD DVD add-on. That looks completely crap and don't need get add-on other devices. Without doubt, blu-ray would be become dominant soon as HD-DVD would be abandon in few years later. DVD is going be decline as VHS on way then HD-DVD would be on other way of DVD and VHS.

Microsoft is just wasting alot of money if HD-DVD is abandoned or change in progress to be way of DVD and VHS, that means going decline. X360 is supposed to be expensive than PS3 does because too many add-on like network adaptor, HDD add-on, HD-DVD add-on, cool fans devices add-on to reduce overheat. 20GB for $100, that seems much worse than PS3 for $599.99. Multiplayer online for Sony is free for basic but they must pay for gold membership, what is stupid with Micorosft.

I would not surprise if Microsoft decides to discontinue X360 and cannot make new game system anymore, Bill Gates and Peter would losing alot of profits with Xbox stuff, then Sony rip Microsoft off. Peter has no wise with PS3 because of expensive, he's talk like crazy. Microsoft cannot afford to shipping new blu-ray add-on for $50 at Wal-Mart or Target because blu-ray is so expensive and good protection, also $300-$400 blu-ray add-on for X360 is enough recommanded with Microsoft economy, then good luck to them to being mess up the plans for new stuff.

HD-DVD add-on is cost about more than $100 then how Microsoft feel about PS3? then nothing and MS has no wise to say that and their talk aren't great and not true though.

I don't need to get HD-DVD players though, it will abandon soon.

I want a PS3, but not on launch day. I want to wait till they drop in price, although I don't believe Sony is willing to do that for a good 2 years, to avoid alienating launch day buyers. I want to see Sony exceed demand and prevent PS3s on eBay for excess prices like $1000 or more.
IMO, M$ is being STUPID for not releasing the HD DVD RIGHT NOW, because HD DVDs are on the market right now. I think M$ stated that the HDDVD will come in the fall, IMO that is too close to the PS3 and its Blu-Ray. I had a feeling a long time ago that Blu-Ray would win the new format race solely because every PS3 will have one. Remeber how DVD sales spiked up right after the PS2 came out?
I would not mind getting a 360 down the road if I feel it would be worth it. I know 360 will have some really nice exclusives that I will want to play like Halo 3 or Ninja Gaiden 2.

EDIT: On a side note related to E3, Nintendo has announced Mother 3(GBA) for Europe. It will be a shame if Nintendo goes through the trouble of translating it to english only to never release it here in the states. A lot of Mother/Earthbound fans are going to import.

I think a smart move by M$ with the HD DVD would be to give them away free(For a limited time, of course) to people who buy or already own a 360. We all know Bill Gates can afford to do that for everyone.
