WOOSTER - Ronald “Ron” White, 69, of Wooster, died Wednesday, April 7, 2005, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. Nathan Ward officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio School for the Deaf, 500 Morse Road, Columbus 43215.
He was born Jan. 18, 1936, in East Liverpool to Frederick and Gladys (McDaniel) White and married Mary Miller on March 13, 1964. She survives.
He had attended the Ohio School for the Deaf and, for 21 years, worked at Astro-Metallurgical, Wooster.
He was a member of Ohio Genealogy Society in Mansfield, Ohio School for the Deaf Alumni Association, First Families of Gallia County of Gallipolis, Canton Silent Club, Mansfield Club of the Deaf and Ohio Deaf/Blind Association. He was past president of NFSD Chapters of Cleveland and Akron and was an avid genealogist.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Fred (Donna) White of Beloit; and a sister-in-law, Clara (Daniel) Yoder of Wooster.
His parents died previously.
