Is it ok for the elected officials (i.e. the POTUS who opposed AZ bill) to require proof of US citizenship when it concerns themselves, but not ok for the Average US Citizen to be given equal protection against illegals?

so you're saying you want each average American citizen to have an access to perform background check on anybody they meet/see, including their neighbors, friends, guests, etc?

LEO's should be the ones who are able to do that, wouldn't you agree?

Besides, this background checking done to meet the President is "open to abuse".

Yes, and ironically enough, when a US citizen lies their way into college, they get jail time. They are not permitted time to graduate because they had a 4.0 gpa.

I know that some illegal immigrants forced to join gangs by gang leader or group because they have no choice and afraid to call police.

I just learned about gang issues in LA in 5 years ago and don't surprise me.

I agree that Arizona's law would have been unnecessary, if ... and only if, the Federal Government had been doing their job.

But they were not doing their job and Arizona has a big problem.

The one I am mentioning ..... got jail time ... lied their way into Harvard.

Only time will tell, as this law has not taken effect and my crystal ball is being repaired currently ... I have no answer.

We both know that with this new immigration law, the police officers are now REQUIRED to ask for immigration status. If this person is an illegal - he will get arrested. Ok then - he got arrested and sent to jail. the police contacted I.C.E. to pick him up and deport him back.

Since federal government is doing nothing about it before the new immigration law... what about now after new immigration law? the federal government is doing going to do nothing like before since the feds can abdicate its duty.

then what?

which is an arrestable offense under Massachusetts Law and/or federal law (if he got federal fund and/or filled out federal application)... not Harvard's policy.
