The White House appears to be laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama to shake the hand of each senior at Kalamazoo Central High School’s commencement ceremony next month.

Seniors are being asked to provide their birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizen status to the Secret Service so background checks could be performed. Such a check is required for anyone who gets within an arm’s length of the president, students were told at their senior breakfast Friday.

Quoted from your source....I would think getting close to the President is a bit more scrutinized than walking into a 7-11. One would get the impression you are in favor of the Arizona law, and against Obama. :giggle:
 
Rather it's the whole irony in this if you look carefully enough. Citizen status isn't important in Arizona (and elsewhere), according to Obama and his liberal friends. Why the need to inquire about citizen status? Aren't birthdates and Social Security good enough proof that you are a U.S. citizen? Heck, your Social Security is all you need for them to look up your citizenship status, right?

I'm not sure why you're screeching about this. It's a standard security procedure. I'm sure that prior to being a forest fire fighter - you were required to submit all kinds of information like social security number, birth date, address, etc. for background check.

Then it's no problem asking people in Arizona for documentation on proof of citizenship after getting stopped for some initial traffic violation then? After all it is about security and helping protect the citizens of the United States, and that laws are upheld and obeyed.

Make state crime for failure to proof of documentation isn't okay.

I'm against on it.

AZ immigrant bill is REQUIRED and attend at Obama's ceremony is OPTIONAL.

People are not required to go to the breakfast if they don't want to go. If they want to meet the President, they have to go through the security checks. Otherwise they will have to deal with Secret Services.

It's like this:

Want to go to the doctors? Get your insurance ready. Want to drive? Get a driver's licence. Want to drink? Make sure you have an ID that say you're over the age of minority. Want a job that guarantee you safety from the abuses of employees? Get your SSN ready. Want to meet Obama? Gotta go through the background checks.

So, is it okay for a natural-born citizen to rape, beat, kill and rob other citizens?

However to require illegals to carry IDs... well, to make it fair-- EVERYONE should carry IDs, even a 5-years old toddler. However if you impose that on citizens, then you will bet that the voters will complain.
