Actually, Shel, the DOW ended at -777.68 at closing on the bad news of "no deal" and squabbling, thanks in part to Pelosi.
Watch the stock market keep on sinking tomorrow....
Pelosi?!
Shoot...the Republicans couldn't get behind their main man at 1600. The same man that called for the bailout.
Don't try to pin it on the Dems Tousi.....![]()
If I lose money, then I wont be able to afford to use my cpu to chat with all of you wonderful people! :tear:
We probably would never know who is at fault.
Pelosi?!

The dems had the majority. They alone could have passed this. It failed by 12 or 13 votes and 95 dems voted against it.
Hint: It's the same man that has bankrupted several different oil corporations in Texas that is sitting in the Oval office.
And now....he is bankrupting America.
Not without the help from the Republicans.
Goes to show that the Republican party is in a state of disarray if they can't support their leader at 1600.
Mine is free, so....maybe I'll send a check to help you out.![]()
That's right, it's simple math.Read again, man! 217 votes were needed. 140 dems voted FOR and 95 dems voted NAY. 140 and 95 adds up to what?
That's right, it's simple math.
Who's blaming a whole party? Neither party voted 100 percent for or against the bill. The majority of dems still voted for. Blaming the whole party is reverting to partisan politics, isn't it?
Most people say feelings are from the heart, meaning emotions. Where else do you get your feelings from? Your feet?
I'm saying the heart represents feelings and emotions, and the head represents rational fact-based decision making.
You make an assumption without ask me for specific because most people you know, said this?
Anyway, are you saying that heart is responsible for feelings or emotion, not brain?
You're welcome.
I don't believe I posted that I wanted to "beat" the Obama-Biden ticket. I probably posted something about not voting for that ticket because they didn't represent my views or goals. I've also posted that McCain was not my first choice but he is much closer to my view and goals than Obama.
Either way, I'm not concerned with "beating" anyone. I know who ultimately controls the future, and it isn't the President of the United States.
That doesn't mean that I take my voter responsibility lightly, or give up striving to do the best for my country. I just don't let it consume me.
