Why would a US Presidential candidate suddenly leave a church he has attended for 20 years?

Would it happen to be that his pastor (of 20 years) is a hateful racist perhaps?

Rev. Wright blamed the U.S. Government for intentionally spreading the AIDS virus to kill off african americans.

Ok, if you believe that one ... well, its your gaffe.

Its ok if you believe Obama did not know his own pastor (of 20 years) said such hateful rhetoric. And its perfectly OK if you believe Obama is resigning NOW (during a presidential election, and not 20 years ago) due to suddenly realizing his pastor is a racist bigot (again, after 20 years)

Now .... we should realize, as the American public and people of these here United States, that if Obama is elected President, the minute someone drags out another skeleton in his closet and shows him in a very negative light, he might very well resign as the US President.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't like Hillary either - I really wish Condi ran .... oh well, I have vented enough for now.

Afterall, if you went to a church and your pastor continually makes questionable comments, wouldn't you resign as well?
