Obama chose Sen. Joe Biden as his Vice-Presidential candidate

Yeah, me too!:giggle:
Yeah, big deal, me too. That and Mao's Little Red Book, and other "popular" 60s reading. So?

If you guys get your jollies from name calling and mocking, then I guess I made your day. :)

The past? It was just a few months ago during this presidential campaign. During the debate, Biden said Obama wasn't ready. These were recent statements.

Since the time that Biden said that, Obama hasn't gained any more experience, so it's still true.

Few months or long months ago is still belongs past.

I don't care what color or religion Obama is. I don't want him for President because he's a Marxist with radical political friends. I don't support his politics.

Why do you assume Obama is a Marxist when you know long that he is a Christian?

Obama's best response to questions about his preparedness on foreign policy and national security may be his selection of Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joe Biden as his running mate. Delaware's senior senator is expected to be nominated for vice president by acclamation, followed by a 20-minute acceptance speech at the close of the evening.

and the game begins. Clinton - "No way, no how, no McCain"

"I want you to ask yourselves: Were you in this campaign just for me?" she asked. "Or were you in it for that young Marine and others like him? Were you in it for that mom struggling with cancer while raising her kids? Were you in it for that boy and his mom surviving on the minimum wage? Were you in it for all the people in this country who feel invisible?"

She gave Obama the seal of approval on health care, an issue that made for some of her toughest language on the trail. "I can't wait to watch Barack Obama sign a health care plan into law that covers every single American," she said.

Analysis: Clinton speech was 'generous,' 'authentic' - CNN.com

and while it's great that government will subsidize the medical cost... sadly.... she's not going to realize that she's going to pay more tax and USA will go broke like Iraq War... unless Obama figures out the better way to offset the cost

I'd say that she has enough intelligence to comprehend the implications completely.

Joe Biden’s Awesome Environmental Record
August 23rd, 2008 · 12 Comments

The news is being widely reported tonight that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama (D-Illinois) has selected Senator Joe Biden (D-Delaware) to be his running mate in the 2008 presidential election.
Luckily for us, Obama’s found a candidate who’s just as strong on the environment as he is, and Biden isn’t afraid to say it.

Just look at some of the facts about Biden’s environmental record that earned him a lifetime score of 84 from the League of Conservation Voters (Obama’s score was 96; McCain’s, a pitiful 26):

Supports an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050
Supports 40 miles-per-gallon fuel efficiency standards by 2017
Wants the US to use 20% renewable energy by 2020
Opposes offshore drilling or drilling for oil in the Arctic (ANWR)
Take Big Oil’s $2 billion dollar tax breaks to pay for offshore wind farms
Ensured protection of 100% of the coastline in his home state
Wrote a plan to exchange debt-relief for rainforest protection
Believes polluters should pay Superfund fees to clean up their toxic waste
Wants the US to take a stronger stance to end commercial whaling

I knew Biden was a great choice. Gotta commend Obama for choosing him.

At first, my reaction was lukewarm. I'm sure that Biden's speech will solidify my support for him.

Obama promotes Marxist goals in his politics. That has nothing to do with his profession to be a Christian.
