Simpson's Daughter Gets Community Service

MIAMI - O.J. Simpson's daughter was sentenced Wednesday to 50 hours of community service in a deal with prosecutors that stemmed from a confrontation with police during a fight outside a prep school basketball game.

Sydney Simpson, 20, did not appear in court, but her lawyer accepted the deal on her behalf in a teleconference with a judge.

She was arrested in January 2005 when Miami police said she repeatedly yelled profanities at officers called to Ransom Everglades School to stop a fight after a boys' basketball game against Gulliver Prep. Then 19, Simpson had already graduated from Gulliver at the time.

While being taken into custody, she slapped an officer's hand, a police report said.

Simpson pleaded not guilty to resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct. The charges will be dropped if she completes the community work.

O.J. Simpson moved to Florida after the former football star, broadcaster and actor was acquitted of murder in the 1994 California slayings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, her friend.

A civil jury in 1997 held Simpson liable for the killings and ordered him to pay the victims' survivors $33.5 million. Much of that judgment remains unpaid.
 
I have always believed O.J. was guilty and that he did kill Nicole. If Nicole was alive then Sydeny would not have so much behavior problems and now it is just starting to show up later in life. That is the tragic thing and O.J. has not paid any money to the family. First he beats her up then kills her then has very sick and manipulative lawyers help him get away with murder when these lawyers clearly know O.J. did it. Now he is not paying the family any money when the family tried to get some justice and O.J. really has no respect for the justice system or that family.

very interesting Heath you always believe O.J. guility for kill his ex wife. for me No, there is no way to hard evdience for him to go jail..

Erm, yeah. I also am unsure whether or not OJ actually killed them. Now, do I think OJ BEAT Nicole? Yes. Do I think he's a clod? Absolutely. Is he abusive? You bet.

But, did he do what they accused him of. I have my doubts.

Why did O.J. have a gun and led the police on a low level chase ? The evidence was overwhelming but O.J.'s lawyers brainwashed the jury into believing anotherwise much to the horror and dismay of the innocent family of Nicole.

*sigh* I don't want to debate this. It's been debated to ad nauseum for years. Lets just agree to disagree, Okay? Debating this won't get us anywhere. I won't change your mind, and you won't change mine. :lol:

Even if they found him guilty, there would still be problems anyway. Even courts and trials can have an effect on children.

Yeah, It would be strange for the kids to see their father get away with murder scot-free when they know he is guilty and that he killed their mom. That has got to mess up the kids big time. The kids always are the first casualty.

Race plays a role in this! Cops booked miss simpson cause shes black. Cops are very racist in the south as well in california.Lets face it would cops interact with her if she was white? And look how that deputy handled that soldier in california after he shot him when he come home from iraq.Look what happend to the boy in Boot camp.Cops lied about how he died.And it wasnt too long the LAPD beat up rodney king. Its about time cops start dealing with their actions and disaplint them with their conduct.

sydney saw everything and it come out a few yrs ao that it was most likey true .

this is as per the couttv opinion I follow it all the time
