NTID trip.

I am going, well i hope i am, to NTID for open house on thurs this week. Its soo last minutes, but i am 19 so i can sign permission forms myself, (Thanks god for the age)

I had requested the guidence counsellor to put me on the list of students who want to go on this trip. But she told me that they have to add my and another student's name to the list of insurance coverage which they haven't so they are now senting it to whoever is in charge of insurance coverage. So hopefully I will be able to go after all. For the of the students, they already are on the list of insurance coverage because they went to galluadet trip on November 16, which i couldn't go because i had surgery the day before. Oh well. So hopefully I will be able to go to visit NTID.

If i do, it will be my first time visit NTID. I had already visited Galluadet about 3 years ago. So now I am curious what NTID is like.

I guess ia ma bit excited cuz for one thing i get a day off school (hehe) and i will finally get the see what its really like there in my own eyes than rely on other people's comments..

Hope for me that I will be able to go...
 
NTID is a great place to visit! My first visit there was during EYF in summer of 1986. Hopefully you'll be able to go, and get a first hand impression of what NTID is all about and what it has to offer.

Hopefully, you'll eventually go to Gally. Hey, I'm biased! :)
 
I like visiting NTID. First, dress warm and for the snow. From what I heard on the news, they have been getting lots of it. The neighborhood is alot better than what is around Gallaudet (not saying I don't like Gallaudet, I love going there, too).
 
AH! back in 1996 High School in Ernest.C.Drury School for the Deaf that grade 12 Students and I went for class trip to NTID that time was in winter time it was great to visit in NTID for the first time for me to seeing there wow i see there lots ppl around there same with RIT too .. RIT and NTID same place heheh .

I think RIT is sports I wasnt sure maybe I am wrong .. I went there and one of teacher told us story about the guy was fell off the window in the dorm I think killed himself or accident it was awful story :(. NTID is GREAT!!!!! lol

Yea, that is true- thats why that dorm is haunted :cold: :eek2:
 
Maybe you could meet up with some of the NITIDers from here!
Vampy goes there, that I know. So do a few others....Teresh (actually RIT not, NTID) and maybe some others.

Yeah that I thought that time I was there .. last time i remember in buffalo got SOOOOO lots of snow that day i was there heheh
 
I went to rochy for senior trip back in 1999 yep in april and it was still snowing I was like eh. wait a min did it snow? I don't remember but long time now anyways but yeah dress warm.. and be beware of icy sidewalk :P and yeah weather still will be cold til may I think yeah. :)

Speaking of ghosts at NTID/RIT campus..well, I had seen them around..mostly flashes and vortex around my old dorm at SOL. One time, the elevator did open itself for me when I returned back to elevator from laundry room (it was supposed to get locked,but it was open) with my "forgotten" sock. :shock: I sensed that they were not that horrific like gally's ghosts.
 
As of right now, we are BELOW the average for the snow so far! I don't know, but sometimes we get dumped with massive snow overnight! So, expecting some crazy snow dumping up here. The temperature, well to me not that bad but for you MAYBE. brrrrrr nice 20's degrees! Soon will hit teens!
Air is very crispy here right now. We are expecting lake effect snow right now but its all talk...
Excuse the road construction around NTID/RIT. I see alot changes there right now.
About the neighborhood. Its pretty much true! You could literally walk alone without any worry, nor concern of any kind. In Gally, better have several other friends with you!!! I am not suggesting anyone to walk alone, just my definition of how nice and safe area the NTID/RIT is in.

Gally is a family neighborhood. Have to have your family with you to walk around. LOL.
 
I just got back from the trip today. Wow i am tired already, long day. lol.

I really enjoyed the trip and everything.
