"Beware the open mike.

President Obama and French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy forgot that lesson last week and got caught questioning the honesty of a major ally, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"I cannot bear Netanyahu, he's a liar," Sarkozy told Obama before the two made joint statements during last week's G-20 summit in Cannes, France, Reuters reported.

"You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you," Obama replied, according to the French interpreter, per Reuters.

Both leaders were unaware that the microphone was turned on and French reporters could hear the private conversation...."

Uh Oh!!!

Oy. Rule to the wise: "If you're in public, your words are public. "

Always interesting to get a peek at what these world leaders really think of each other.

Politicians are like school children, there is no difference.

Jessie Jackson made an Anti Semitic remark when he was running for president. Jackson did not know the mike was still open! What Obama said was
something a president should had never say! Maybe Obama been hanging around Joe Biden too long , I hope Obama will think before he open his mouth the next time!! Grown up Obama!!

I wonder if telling a child he is acting like a politician would straighten him out. :giggle:

Get a f'ng grip on your accusing everyone of being antisemitic, would ya? Jeeze. Neither of them were being antisemitic. Also, Netanyahu IS a liar AND also a war criminal. What Obama said actually struck me as showing restraint and maturity.

I guess not a lot of politicians are a fan of Israel's leader.

So what did Michelle say to Obama about the flag ceremony last 9/11? ;)

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before a joint meeting of Congress had all trappings of a State of the Union address by a president with sky-high approval ratings.

Speaking to a packed House chamber with Speaker Boehner and Vice President Biden over his shoulders, Netanyahu was repeatedly interrupted by applause – including more than 20 standing ovations...."

Duh. It happens all the time.
Yep.
I seem to recall an news anchor swearing under her breath when she thought her mike was off many years ago. Unfortunately, for her it was still open. As offenses go, I'd consider it a minor one and not worth flipping out over it.

And I think the reporter's offense was a worse one than Obama's "offenses".

WTF are you talking about!! I was talk about Jessie Jackson!! How about you learning how to read!!

I was showing this is not the first time this happen , people say things not realizing they can be heard.
Obama is the president and he should know when to keep something to himself. I thought was wrong to say what he said! We're entitled to have our own opinion , I said Jessie Jackson made Anti Semitic remark
NOT Obama!! It that so hard to understand!!
