Can't hear a lot of men's voices. Me being female makes it hard on relationships. My boyfriend thinks I zone him out but if I'm not paying attention I most likely won't hear him. I think my left ear is mostly deaf, my right ear can hear most higher pitched sounds but both deaf to low tones. I've had 4 seta of tubes, my most recent being 4 years ago. If I don't have tubes or steroids I've been told I'll have ear infections indefinitely... But what fixes the permanent hearing loss? Tho is my first time reaching out in hopes of someone sharing the same struggle

yeah like me, started losing it as a young adult, or in our later years. Sine if us had sudden loss, some a gradual progression. So don't worry about not being "all the way deaf", we are all different, but share many if the sand experiences to skme degree. I hate labels but describe myself as deaf w/out my aid (s) and hard if hearing with them. I deal, and so do many here, deal with what you're dealing with all day everyday WITH our hearing aids on. Although I have an easier time with men's voices and a harder time with women, little children? Fahgedaboudit, it's all gibberish.
ESPECIALLY in the Deaf community!
