I no longer know what I want to do in the future. sighs....

I keep having bouts of uncertainty!

I am currently studyin childcare and education.

I have times where I want to go to Uni and study something else but the problem is i dont know what.

I finish my course in july and have to choose something!

I am just not feeling very decisive and am feeling really worried because my college finish date is getting closer and closer...

Deafteen, don't worry about it. You'll figure it out. My brother is 40 and he only just realized what he wants to do. But now he's going ahead with what his passion is. So no rush. No pressure. Just try as much out and that way you can figure out where your passion really lies.

I agree with Nika, there is always time to change your mind.

Yeah I kno, but with all these end of the world mentions and going ons i feel like I have to do something before it is too late. Once I get something in my head, it doesnt go away for like 6 months

It is never too late, my dear. You will change your mind about what you want to do, or how you want to do it as you grow and gain life experience. Our goals will change according to what we experience. It is not unusual at all to be unsure at your age. In fact, it is far more unusual for someone to decide on a career at your age and stick with it for a lifetime.

Think about what really makes you happy and try to make a career out of it. If you need to go back to school, do so. It is important to have a college degree and seems like more people go for their master's degree now. Don't worry too much. You will be ok.

deafteen,

as nika said, i wouldn't worry. i changed my major several times due to my progressive hearing loss. i went from journalism to mass communication to advertising to education to medical transcription and finally, to social work.

deafteen,

are you working with a vocational counselor? if so, perhaps they can give you an interest inventory test. this is a test that helps determine what areas you are interested in as well as your skills and talents. some interest inventory tests also give you suggestions as to which careers would best suit you based on your test results. the one i took during my senior year in high school did.
