I haven't bought a DS but with games like super mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS, they most certainly got my attention cause it reminds me of the N64 days *sigh* so with a gameboy advance sp that I still own, I would trade it in for a better model though it would let me play both DS and GBA games on it but since I already heard that there's a newer model coming, I'm just glad that I didnt already own the DS just yet so they are gonna come with a much smaller, much lighter redesign of the Nintendo DS that looks much like an apple product and would most certainly grab the adults' attention than it would on kids, and looks much less childish and corny.

It's expected to hit Japan on March 2nd.

can't wait to grab that when it hits the US sometime...proably this summer indeed.

What's so special about this Nintendo DS? What makes it different than the first one? So far, it seems that the only difference is the color... white. :dunno:

it's much smaller and thinner than the orginal DS design.

Compare the size of the lite to the stylus. That should give you an idea of how small the lite is. I probably will pick one up, but not right away.
 
yeah but not only that but still a better screen wide enough to see it bright and clear.

It includes four levels of brightness that never came as a opiton for the other gameboys and the orginal DS before.
 
good thing I waited so I'll get the lite version when I have enough cash saved in.
 
Now, that's a difference between the old and new DS, thinner, better LCD, and other internal works. :) I had 2 different handhelds before. It was the old gameboy in early 90's and the Game Gear (Sega).
 
I still think that the buttons are too close together. When you're playing games, you need either big buttons or good spacing between the buttons.
