My family got new appliance for our house... I love using new washer and dryer because clothes get more cleaner and dry faster than old washer and dryer- they was 23 and 30 years old, didn't do good job (washer suddenly broke and we needed to replace the dryer). Both new machines also could handle big loads as well.

We had a mircowave that was about 12 years old, and it just died on my sister, so we decided to get mircowave and convientable (?) oven, its 2 in one... It got our food more hotter as well...

Have anyone gotten new appliances lately?

Congrats.. I am so happy for you! :) Hmm.. for me I got a new black micorwave because the white one started to wear out on me.. geez! :eek2:

Microwave - I havent had it for a year! It died on me while it cooked my food.

DVD/VHS Machine - DVD decided to stop playing two months ago and I had to buy a new one.

That was it.

yep. we got new dishwasher, stove, refridgator, washer , and dryer... since we moved here to a new place. its SWEET! :) not the microwave.. its OLD :-P

That's great to have new appliances in your home. We thought we may have to get a new refridgator after our fridge was making so much noise last week. Then on Sunday evening while we were having our dinner, our fridge got more noisier and my hearing hubby said that he hoped that it will not keep him awake during the night. So I ask him to turn the fridge off for about 5 minutes and then turn it back on just to see what happen. My first thought was the fridge might 'died' on us after turning it back on. When he turn it back on, he heard a 'clunk' noise as if something fell off the motor or something. After that, the fridge is all quiet and still working (touch wood). Our fridge is 8 yrs old.

The last appliance we replaced was the microwave because we wanted a bigger one and it also has convection oven feature, it works nicely. We got it for free from my parents because they got a very fancy microwave that can do exact cooking in convection mode, etc.

A week after I moved to San Antonio, my refridgator quit working right and all my damn food was warm. Fortunately I complained to the management and they replaced mine with a brand new one right away - the old one was like 20 years old!

Also, I got a new microwave as well when I moved here because I had to leave my old one behind when I left Saint Cloud, MN because I lost my apartment, thanks to my ex-roommates from hell!

I am working on getting a 2nd tv, stereo, etc. I don't have a lot of furniture as I had to leave almost everything in MN because the stupid moving companies were wanting 2 grand to move all my shit, and I had other plans for my money! Oh well, things are replaceable anyway. I think it's for the best because now I am starting over and would like to leave my past behind. I only took along my computer, my biggest tv, clothes, my cats, some necessary things, etc, and as soon as I got here I bought a new bed. I didn't want to take my old one along as I had to store it in a barn for a year and by the time I was ready to move it was all nasty, it's already 7 years old now anyway, time to replace it!

LoL!! Sounds like it was time for y'all to get new appliances. Once in a while people got to get out of the old & replace with the new ones.:)

Rachel...isn't that nice? I love new things that we know how old it is since your family bought it.!

We moved in this house...we bought new washer/dryer, dishwasher (before moved in but it was brand new though), fridge, stove but microwave not till couple months ago, the old one quit on me! So got a new one. ALL BLACK but not my washer/dryer..they are white. :)

Nice to have a new appliances and knowing easy how old they are. :)

Probably in 5 years from now, we'll replace new stove and fridge, but dunno yet. Wait and see. :thumb: Our fridge is Wide by Side.

White is easier to show you what it looks like...mine is in black. It is by Maytag.

We also got the central A/C and new furnace and water heater tank, in all same year. I could be wrong.. not the furnace. I need to look at the date  We wrote the date on a/c, furnace but we know when we got the water heater tank. SO it is easier for us to let us know when we got it and easily can save up for a new one.

OoOOO Nice!! You never told me this. ;)

I really don't need any new appliances, last time I brought a new washer machine was three years ago because my other washer machine broke down, I only buy new appliances that's if something breaks down. ;)

we had to get new water heater because old one was broke last summer but we didn't pay for it because it was Landlord's responbility.

microwave is new since 2 years but before that it wasn't working good on me  and next is def gonna get new dryer but right now no $$ so blah.. wait and see tho.. :) but dad fixed the old dryer so it goes faster for now.. so next year hopefully things will get better and hopefully can afford few things we need in lifetime ;)

My microwave is probably over 10 years old cuz I got it before my daughter was born and she is 9. That microwave has traveled with me from AZ to MD and moved with me 5 times in the last 7 years and it is still working great!!! LOL!

Those stuff was here when we moved in... The family who lived in this house before us was ones who built the house in 1980's. That just they got too old, we needed to replace them.

my mom did bought new stove, new fridge, new washer and new dryer last year when she moved into her trailer from the old house.. she didnt want to bring her old shitty applicances with her.. LOL.. i dont blame her! ha.. the old stove is still at the old house.. water heater is still good.. only like since 95.. but getting older.. as its now 11 yrs .. i didnt realized that.. wow.. time flew by so fast.. ha..

when i lived at the apt.. i did bought new washer and new dryer.. i didnt have to buy stove, and water heater. as they are already there. the fridge did died on me and it was landlord's responsbility to buy new one so they did. i was real exciting about it.. but had to move back to my moms when my mom got sick.. i was disappointed to go cuz it would be nice to bring the fridge with me.. LOL.. but its not mine.. dang! hehehe. last year I sold the washer to my brother as he need one. I didnt use it as it was in storage? so sold it. I sold the dryer 4 yrs ago so i will hve to replace all when I move out next year. I cant wait! :)
